Really....
Are you that sad, you actually sat and read all his posts for the last three years.....
Im not actually sure I believe you, like I don’t believe a lot you say and post.

I am aware you don’t support the Albion, so at least when Potter does go, there will be a silver lining.....

God no, I'm bored quite a lot but not that bored. I used the search function, member: portluck seagull keyword: relegation (or relegated, I dont remember). If you believe it or not is up to you.

Interesting, 540 votes last week and only 321 this week, that fence is still at breaking point...

Really pleased to see that the post match knee jerk “outs” are gradually being overhauled by the ‘ins”

At one stage yesterday afternoon the poll was showing nearly 70% “out”

But as you can see from my post above the "out" vote has doubled in a week. :(

No real surprise, we are underachieving and yesterday was really disappointing. Christ knows what the poll would show if we’d lost. Potter is now under massive pressure and most of the goodwill the change in style brought is now spent. Fans want wins and we are not getting them.

Just to be clear I am still very much “in” and although I can’t guarantee it I would like to think I still will be even if we go down.

Thanks potters. It’s been pretty at times but totally ineffective.

Very poor record.

This is the premier league and to manage successfully you need a certain amount calibre. He might have a lot of potential but the premier league isn’t the place for such gambles.

And there we have it. It is not Potter who is gambling - its TB. I think Potter has brought a refreshing style of football, more pleasing on the eye than many before. It is a style that has been more than effective for most of the top teams in Europe. It is a style that TB recognises as one that will ultimately get our club to where he wants it.
But, hey - we are in the middle of one of the biggest financial crisis the world has ever known. TB’s business must have taken a heavy hit in recent months and the Albion’s income has been severely restricted. How the hell you can “break the bank” to buy a top striker or two (and that really is what we are missing) when it’s already broken, I don’t know.
From where we have come I find it very strange, disloyal even, that so many fans are holding Potter out to dry when his hands are tied behind his back.
I just feel sorry for the other Albion who, whilst they may end up escaping relegation, have such a horrible specimen now running their club.

I could not agree more. Excellent post.

I suppose the frustration is we are going backwards.

I agree that we shouldn’t expect anything above bottom 6 because that is pretty much where our budget is set.

But the regression and at some stages cluelessness of what is happening on the pitch is there for all to see.

I've gone from 'in' to fence. I am desperately trying to hold on to the idea that he just needs more time but I am really struggling to see how he can turn it round from here.

Without reading the whole thread, so apologies for any repetition, their are three reasons why I'm out and two of them are reasons people use to defend him. The three Potter characteristics were supposed to be / still said to be:

1) Emotional Intelligence. He has a degree in it. And yet we have an entire squad with no confidence and no leadership.
2) The squad are not good enough. Well, he was brought in to over achieve compared to the player budget. That's the whole point of him. Nonetheless Lamptey, Dunk, White, Bissouma, Lallana would walk straight into most other Premier League squads. Biss is even rumoured to be interesting Real Madrid. We do have an issue up front and we all know that but this is a guy who was brought in because he got the likes of Exeter City rejects to beat Arsenal in the Europa League and supposedly took Swansea's youth team to 10th (although Swansea were far better the next season)
3) We play lovely football and have a great xG. Well, that just proves what a load of bollocks xG is. We have been underachieving compared to it ever since Potter joined. Either the tactics employed do not match our ability to finish or he needs to grow a pair and tell Ashworth we need proper strikers, instead of persisting with Connolly.

Agreed, he just needs that elusive win at home and then pick up the odd draw but it was poor yesterday,

don't know what is going wrong?

Confidence totally shot but they are digging in and GP has certainly not lost the dressing room imo. The slow and frankly painful buildups and shot shy players is all part of shot confidence imo.

The players are hanging in there, we need to as well

We really do need some luck to get a game over the line, then who knows?

Some fans, as is clear from this thread, think there is a miracle cure, i.e sack the manager. To me anyway that is plain foolish and short sighted but there is as much chance that I am as wrong as I think the quitters are

I wonder if TB is a waverer too? He is a fan, first and foremost, just like us

This, of course begs the question: Is there anyone out there who will do a better job with the players we have and the stipulations/restrictions we have in place?

I am not convinced that Eddie Howe can do a better job.

This is the umpteenth time we've had the same conversation. We beat a gash Newcastle then lost to Chelsea ( no shame) and were dog shit Vs WBA. Got lucky vs Villa then failed to see of Burnley. failed to see off SU, FUlham, Palace . . .

basically we're relegation fodder failing to beat our closest rivals. with a few plucky performances against big teams. With better players playing worse than last season.

I wouldn't expect us to win all of the games we drew, and draw a few we lost, but if we'd just won the odd few we'd be comfortably mid table . . . . to my mind the tide has turned and we're heading down unless GP grows a pair and makes a few bold changes, or TB does.

At the end of the day all our prattlings are irrelevant. what will be will be. The frustration is seeing the potential and seeing it not being realised.

Januarys transfer window could be a season changer, I think we'll see White or Bissouma sold to fund someone who can shoot on target. then again maybe not and we'll stagger on as we are.
