I'm scared and negative.

Knight is the best thing that has happened to this club since Zamora, psychologically and team wise this will be devastating if we lose him to our rivals.

We've agreed a fee too according to the Anus. It will come down to three things.

1) Who offers the better wages / agent's cut
2) Who offers the best shop window (if he's as good as Bobby he'll probably only be around for a season or two anyway)
3) Who he thinks offers him the best chance of long term career development.

For 1 - we have to play the agent along. Neither QPR nor us can afford Chelski's wages and let's not forget that QPR are not long out of administration and struggled to field a bench last night. As posted above we've lost a couple of high wage earners. Point 1 is a 50/50 toss up.

For 2 - Comes down to who's going to finish higher probably again a 50/50 toss up. Except we've just beaten them 2-1 and have the nuclueas of a 2nd division championship side to set the chances up.

For 3 - Coppell or Holloway? It's like saying Sancerre or Blue Nun, Man U or Bristol Rovers, Steak or semolina. 100% Brighton win.

Whilst agents and players bank balances are largely the controlling factor these days, leaving much more weight on 1) it's still a toss up for me. We ain't lost him yet.

I have it on good authority that Knight will sign for Brighton in the next hour.

See, it's easy.

BHA v QPR Comparison's for Knight to consider...

BHA: Pros
Coppell
Team Spirit
Will be promotion contenders
Already settled into the squad
Said many times he wants to sign for US!
Possibility of Falmer
Possibility of scoring from Kanchelskis crosses!

BHA: Cons
Withdean for a couple of years if we do get Falmer
Possibility of not getting Falmer
Above reults in club not going anywhere
-----

QPR: Pros
If he lives in London then less travelling time
Will be promotion contenders
Have a decent enough stadium already

QPR: Cons
Holloway nowhere near as good as SC

----------------
Overall:
I reckon he's waiting on Kanchelskis, if he signs then Knight would love to play with him. Personally I dont think the Falmer issue comes into it but I listed it anyway - he may be thinking about it though.
Wages will be an issue but I think he'll pick the club which is going forward the most and will have a better chance of getting into and staying in Division 1...and I believe that is US!

I just hope I'm right!

Feel free to add your own Pros and Cons

if QPR lose out to him, then it's not quite as big a blow for them as he is not on loan to them at present.

ughhh I can't take being an albion fan, it's not fair.

Good point.

QPR players (Shittu I think) have had their wages paid by people owning a clothes shop in London.

it was the little fella...dudu are something, he's wages were paid by the owners of ghost menswear...

Pro: After the departure of Bobby we have a lot of love to offer him.

Con: If he doesn't live up to Bobbys standards the moaners will soon get on his back

I don't reckon Kanchelskis comes into it one bit. He's going to look at the two clubs and see that QPR is A BIGGER club. In no way can you dispute that fact, with their history.

I don't agree with it, I don't like it, but players aren't as forward-thinking and want instant success - loyalty means bugger-all and playing at QPR probably won't get him places fast, but it's less of a risk (both playing and financially) that Brighton
