whilst i'd hold off accusations of the FAB being "manipulated" and the club being "cynical" here. Agree it looks a bit odd - it doesn't look like its to do with the FAB. Guess the email heading is an error. Yep. Its Just their standard annual feedback survey related to spending , sponsorship etc and the like. They've done em for quite a few years.

@Barry Izbak
Can you tell us what input FAB had into this survey?

I think the club have multiple headers for emails like BHAFC Tickets, BHAFC etc and presumably pick one of them when they send out their marketing emails.
And This (very similar ) survey - end of season, Win a shirt, feedback about sponsors, what you spend , share some data with us etc - i was sent one in June 2019 and i think other years too. Just did a search in my Gmail. So I think they just picked the wrong header - FABoard - when they sent it out.

So this survey is being conducted by a company called Gemba (presumably the "Gemba" mentioned in the intro blurb (a insights/comms agency who specialise with sports/entertainment clients)
Guess the Albion are one of their clients.

and they've used (i think) a survey template/software from (at least thats where its hosted) to power it.

and then oddly although the email says it comes from BHAFC / Fan Advisory Board - the email address is just a standard info@email.brightonandhovealbion.com address and doesn't seem like its anything to do with the fan advisory board. (I've done these surveys before the FAB existed with v. similar questions. i think they do them annually). They're not mentioned in the blurb etc . just says the club would appreciate your feedback - and in return "Win 1 of 5 shirts"

standard stuff really.
I'm going to be a complete nitpicking nause here & am only quoting you as you've picked up on 'Gemba', basically who the f**k are they? They said they're not going to share my details to anyone in the UK, no mention about outside.

A distinct lack of 'Data protection' gumph that I didn't have to pretend to read and just click yes anyway made me wary, once I'd found the buried links to the privacy policy, I decided to continue. The data protection policy and right to withdraw policy shouldn't be so buried that I actively have to search for it, it should just be 'there'.

@Barry Izbak, the survey makes it seem like it's come from the FAB, is this the case? If so, why are the questions about sponsors? I don't think it is to do with the FAB.

I had the same loop as @Guinness Boy re sponsor questions & gave up. @jackalbion Qualtrics rule the survey world. 'Gemba' would've been better off using a basic Qualtrics template rather than the mis-mash they served up. Tempted to plough my way through it again as no one else doing it makes my chances of 'winning' a shirt far higher. 😂

In my opinion the survey design (questions and he right buttons working) needs some refinement.

That makes it sound like the club have produced a really buggy, complicated, data harvesting survey and made it look like it was from FAB.

Surely they wouldn’t do that?

Is the question that begins "after the game finished did you...(leave straight away etc)" making a bold assumption I'm still there at the end or am I only asked it because I've already said I'm not in East Upper?

:moo:

(only joking because it must be a few days since we've had a "leaving early" thread)

I'm still doing the one they sent me in 2019

Is the questionaire a random thing, I don't appear to have been sent one?
I don’t think so. Maybe you’ve opted out of these emails?

As an aside, I’m usually keen to complete these things but gave up on this one. Way too long.

I for one was impressed by the deeply philosophical nature of the questions posed by the survey at that point

- after the game finished did you leave straight away?

-after the game finished did you leave straight away and go somewhere else?

I am still pondering those matters

If you are brave enough, I'm sure an email to PBOBE will elicit the difference between these two options.

However, reading the response may take longer than completing the survey.

Have all the surveys been so long ?

If so I'm glad I missed them before.

I completed the survey, but only because I wanted whoever is carrying it out to know the transport is shit and I am not going to buy a house because Mansell McTaggart have an advertising board somewhere in the Amex

As virtually everyone else has said, very poor from the club that it has been sent out and made to look like it is related to the FAB

Survey takes 'approximately 15mins' My arse it does!
Took me 25 mins!!
Just a bloody marketing exercise not a fan engagement survey whatsoever!
This is just the start, you wait until Barber's tentacles reach Albion online surveys!

I work in market research, this survey is so bad lol. I'm not finishing it, and them falsely saying it's a fan advisory board sent survey is really poor. Crazy.
