Great substitutions by Hughton, especially playing Halford on the left to give Chicksen extra protection against Odebayo.......

I really don't think Hyypia would have done that.

Completely agree, reactive substitutions which change the game are always great to see from a manager.

You couldn't set it up much better without scoring.

Im a big sceptic but if he's done something as impact sub two games in a row now so we'll see if he can keep doing this. He's clearly going to get his chance now as will Baldock, given Bloom's interview in the Argus a few days ago when he was indirectly telling Hughton to get some value out of them

It sounded as if relations were at an all time low when Hyypia was in charge based on what he said to the press in Sheffield. Now he's back and his confidence is seemingly high... could just be a flash in the pan but we have to give him a chance. If he's now happy playing for Hughton and likes our tactics he could be transformed. Lets be honest few players shone under Hyypia.

Brighton / Hove actually
In all seriousness, O'Grady revitalized by spell at Sheffield United and now a new manager, could be a new lease of life for him?

He came here when our players and manager didn't really know each other so it's not surprising that it was difficult for him. I think the team is more ready for him this time and the loan has certainly helped his confidence.

Sorry 2 seconds to score 2 goals
My facepalm was because you were jinxing us (Brentford could have scored straight after your post). Fortunately for you, I unjinxed your post. You're welcome.

There are clearly two schools of thought developing among Albion fans, one that Hyypia was mostly to blame and he brought every one down around him, two that Hyypia was just part of what went wrong and that the players and recruitment were also a major part of the first-half season shitshow. I still lean towards the latter though I realise after Fulham and today, the former view has the wind in its sails.

I wonder if any other of our other players who may have dissapointed some under SH may well suddenly produce the goods, maybe January is not the time to get rid, but hold fire and see what they do or don't produce and if they still fail to shine get rid at the end of the season?

I think it's unarguable that the squad is weaker than in previous seasons, however you do have to question how we only won 3 league games in half a season under Hyypia and in the last two games we have beaten two Championship clubs. Especially considering today we were without most of the loanees Sami had at his disposal.

lol. So if were losing 6-0 in a game and warren says we are getting murdered out there, Some Stupid twank is immediately going to Take offense?.

Probably not. There's a difference between that and the systematic, state sponsored extermination of human beings. It's in awful taste.

Clearly he made a mistake and personally I think it should be left there but you must be able to see why using that word to describe something so insignificant will be found offensive.

Completely agree, I think we should give Hughton time to assess the current squad members regardless of previous 'reputations'. I'll be disappointed if we do send back COG to Sheff Utd without giving him a fair crack first.

I'm still very much in the second school of thought. A few good results is no reason to sit on our hands thinking it'll all be alright on the night. Great to see us pick up some decent results before the January window even opened, now we just need to build on that with some well thought out additions.
