The Muslim Community

It's worth noting that part of this "Britishness" people want to embrace and preserve is the welcoming attitudes to immigrants. It's not just Blair that has started this - as an investigation into the history of the 50's will prove. The same "Britishness" that encourages people to make as much money as possible which results in all the dentists going private and the need to import "immigrants" to perform NHS work. All the doctors going private and the need for asian doctors to be employed.

It'a amazing how dewy eyed people get for "Britishness" when it suits their purpose.

I see 3 soldiers got killed in Iraq last night. That'll make a few people on here feel better.

No, just saddened that the whole thing has been so predictable. Does anyone on here actually feel safer since the invasion of Iraq ?

I was watching a news clip of some British Muslims at some anti war gathering ranting about our involvement in Iraq. All well and good but ostensibly we were supposed to overthrow and evil and corrupt dictator who was a mass murderer. Sorry but he wasn't a good Muslim so how can they justify murdering our citizens because of it ?

Okay, the real agenda was Bush not wanting Saddam destablilising the Middle East and thus cutting off America's vital oil supply but at the same time I can't understand the mentality of the militant Moslems who preach hate while effectively doing so in the support of Hussien.

It's also not hard to see why many people want see these Muslims thrown out of the UK. A fact has to be faced, they and or their forefathers wouldn't have come here if it hadn't have offered them a better way of life. I don't see too many of them returning to the land(s) of their heritage in disgust.

The fact is, the current generation have not been to India or pakistan or wherever. There home is England so why should they go back to another country?

They are then being preyed upon by these dodgy types getting them recruited, stating they are muslim and need to stand up for their brothers and sisters in muslim countries!

For some reason they connect with this, perhaps they are not getting their say in their individual mosque's or muslim communties and feel by taking this action, its their way of acting for what they believe in! Brainwashed I think it's called!

IMO the problem lies within the community leaders, they need to speak to their new and up and coming generations and get them involved more in the issues that affect them rather than just ignoring the young as they are doing now!

Think its more to do with us occupying the land rather anything to do with Hussien.

He offered Saudi Arabia the use of his Army to fight Iraq when they invaded Kuwait. Historically Iraq has quite a good claim to that land, but that didn't bother Bin Laden as much as it didn't bother Bush senior.

The Saudi government turned him down and allowed American soldiers in to build a few airbases.

Anyway from the book I read about him - that's pretty much the point where the trouble started...

I'm not condoning mass deportation it's just that I find it wrong that some Muslims can contiune to preach retribution and yet still be aloowed to walk free. God only knows what would happen if we were to do the same in the name of Jesus in a Moslem country.

I do agree wholeheartedly with you point about their community leaders though.
