The last straw

Well said, these threads are pathetic.

They are usually started by people who weren't even there!

Well, i can tell you i WAS there tonight, after fannying about after a cheap ticket all afternoon - eventually giving in and buying from the club.

I regret that decision now, and i WON'T be doing the same next Tuesday night. It doesn't matter now - there's no hope of us doing ANYTHING, and if we're going to enter games with the 'draw will do' mentality from now until the end of the season, then i really think crowds could drop below 4000.

I go each week, i do more away games than i miss - i'm an 'addict'. But i've finally had enough, and i'm not the only one. It's games like tonight that make the prospect of 16000 empty seats at a new stadium a realistic one.:(

Not the final straw for me, but certainly nearing it.

Tonight's overall performance was good, nobody had a shocker. The problem, as is normally always the case, was Wilkins just didn't attempt anything to change the game. His subs were reactive again. He set his stall out, he was happy for a draw.

Very uninspiring.

Just chuckling at Charlton
Its all relative isn't it? We got 17k tonight for Ipswich which i think is pretty poor, but football is an expensive pastime and more and more ordinary folk are a) being priced out of the game or b) hand picking matches.

Can i just point out that we had 13 shots on goal to their 7 - i have seen better football but believe me seen a lot worse - I think it was a well deserved point and could see what was wrong with goal

boo f***ing hoo mate, i'm sure you'll be running back as soon as we start winning again, take the rough with the smooth - we're in a transitional period and not doing too well- but im pretty sure we finished second bottom of the football league twice in a row to years ago..................things have been a lot worse, i'm guessing you weren't around in those days

oh well, i hear Charlton are seeking new fans :bigwave:

Yes but 12 hit the corner flag. We had 1 shot on target all 90 minutes

think that sums it up for me - happy enough with the point we got tonight, but the boring, negative football and changes left a lot to be desired

I am not a great fan of several things and if you had been around here a while I have proved this with criticism of the club over many issues.

Nor am I a super fan however you really do like to hog this board with total abuse against the club of which this seems somewhat strange as you don't seem to attend many games.

Still each to their own.

It was a STEAMING PILE OF DOG TURD and I am incrdulous Wilkins was pleased with it and a few fans applauded at the end. Have our expectations really got so low.

Hmmm, getting a draw at home against a team higher in the divison than us? I'd like to win, but to say a draw was a bad result is ridiculous. But don't let that stop the over-reaction, carry on!

This sort of post is the whole crux of the matter. We consider things are good now because we finished 91st 2 seasons in a row. After that anything will seem an improvement. We will still get supporters in 50 years time telling their grat great grandchildren " I was at Hereford you know ".

Time to raise the bar above 91st in the league now I think.

The game was utter shite, both teams were woeful, were you there or did you just see the result on ceefax.
