1.20pm - We are now running services on the following routes:

•1 is operating between Whitehawk Bus Garage and Valley Road only. Mile Oak Road, Thornhill Rise and Graham Avenue are still inaccessible.
•2 is operating between Old Steine and Holmbush Centre (via Carlton Terrace not Olive Road).
•5/5A/5B - all three services are operating from Texaco Garage/Hangleton Road via the 5B route to the city centre, and then via the 5 route to the bottom of Carden Avenue. Service 5B then continues to Hollingbury Asda. Patcham, and Hangleton north of the Grenadier, are still inaccessible.
•6 is operating between Boundary Road, Portslade and Brighton Station.
•7 is operating full route to normal timetable.
•11X is operating normal route and timetable.
•12 is operating between Brighton Old Steine and Eastbourne Pier but Chyngton Estate in Seaford is still inaccessible.
•25 is operating between Palmeira Square and Universities.
•27 is operating between Old Steine and Dyke Road Avenue/A27 roundabout.
•28 is operating between Old Steine and Waitrose Lewes.
•49 is operating between Lewes Road Sainsburys and Portslade Station.

All other bus services remain suspended due to the adverse weather conditions. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience, and will continue to update this page with all the latest news throughout the day.

also...how far up Valley road are they getting ED...ie where do they turn around?

Bundles of snow at home (a solid 8 inches, oohh matron!) but it takes more than that to stop me. A 30 min drive took 45 and I was in for 8.15am.

As for most of you lily-livered wasters, you need to just get out and get on with it.

I need to get to Lewes in about an hour and it appears there are no 28's or 29's again!

- We are now running services on the following routes subject to weather conditions:

1 is operating between Arundel Road and Boundary Road., then via Carlton Terrace Old Shoreham Road and restarting from Portslade Health Centre. Mile Oak Thornhill Rise and Graham Avenue are still inaccessible. From the Old Steine service 1&1A are operating via the seafront.
2 is operating between Old Steine and Holmbush Centre (via Carlton Terrace not Olive Road).
5/5A/5B - all three services are operating from the Grenadier/Hangleton Road (by the Texaco garage) via the 5B route to the city centre, and then via the 5 route to the bottom of Carden Avenue. Patcham, and Hangleton north of the Grenadier, are still inaccessible. Service 5B not able to serve Asda due to road conditions and is terminating at the bottom of Carden Avenue.
6 is operating between Portslade and Brighton Station.
7 will operate between George Street & Arundel Road. Normal route to North Street then via the Coast Road (A259). Return journey to George Street, via Eastern Rd & Edward Street.
12 is operating between Brighton Old Steine and Eastbourne Pier but Chyngton Estate in Seaford is still inaccessible as is Lower Place Newhaven..
25 is operating between Palmeira Square and Universities.
27 is operating between Arundel Terrace and Dyke Road Avenue/A27 roundabout.
46 is operating between the Open Market and the Holmbush Centre not via Sainsburys or North Southwick.
49 is operating between The Avenue and Portslade Station.
Our team will be constantly monitoring roads and weather conditions.

Well I went to work in London yesterday and went out for an Xmas meal in the evening.

Train was an hour late in but on time coming home.

It's obvious the snow conditions inland in West Kent have been far worse, they said last night on the BBC that the A26 was blocked.
