I live close to Sackville Rd so once on that it's fine, just got to Redhill in about an hour. Bit dicey here and there but mains roads are passable with caution. *waitsforlocalstonotbother* :tantrum:

edit: and there are trains going both directions past my office window

I live in a room above my clients' office, it takes me 20 seconds to leave my front door and go to work. So I will have no problems getting in.

That, and the fact it hasn't started snowing yet in Kabul this winter (but it is fooking cold anyway), should make me pretty much good to go today. Bugger.

Woke up to very deep snow here in West Kent then turned on radio and heard that main roads all around Amersham (where I work) are all closed or traffic jams and decided that it will be a "phone day" from home.

Amersham Bucks? That's a hell of a schlep if it is.

I have a friend in Amersham who has just posted on FB that it's deep around her way.

Yep - it's theoretically 1.5 hours each way, but factor in the M25 and you get 20 hours a week in the car. But, you go where the work is and I was looking for a while. Not ideal, but I'm working on it ;)

This is a serious question from sunny Somerset.

Meant to be driving to Telscombe Cliffs from Taunton (no snow, palm trees swaying in the breeze) to pick up my daughter for Xmas hols. How bad is the coast road at Telscombe? Don't have to leave until 12.00,so expect main roads to be passable by then.In Brrrrrrrrrrrr ighton by 4.00ish.

drove to work at 6:30 this morning from Peacehaven to Portslade.....at that time Peacehaven/Telscombe was far worse than Brighton........in Portslade now so dont know what Telscombes like now.........no busses out that way tho.

Just spoke to wife and it took her over an hour to get from Ovingdean to Peacehaven and roads are bad.

Decided not to chance the 20 miles up to Haywards Heath.
Oh well. A day on the PS3 beckons.

I made it in today, most of the office is here. Any unreasnable absence on a day such as today and you need to make up the hours.

Looks like the Stadium builders have the day off

1s,2s & 49s running limited service according to BBC Sussex by the way.
I'm not bothering to go to Burgess Hill just in case I get stuck there.
Muesli Mountain seems very slippy.

I work at home, so no problem you would think.

But I had booked a day off to play golf at Mid Sussex today (the free round we picked up at REMF in June), so that's knackered. Damned if I'm going to work though.
