He's an ideal candidate for this constituency. His margin in 2017 has only ever been achieved by Tories back in the 50s and early 60s. He may even better that tomorrow.

His increased majority in 2017 was on the back of a bounce in support for Corbyn.

Doesn't matter how left wing you are, support your candidate best suited to their constituency and voters. It's why Blair never tried to have Corbyn deselected despite the number of times he rebelled. He was still a Labour safe seat and the candidate his constituency wanted.

Blair never tried to deselect Corbyn because Corbyn has been a non-entity in the LP for 20 years up to winning the leadership - trying to get rid of him would have brought unwanted attention to the fact that there were still a handful of left-wingers in the LP (exactly the same reason why he didn't move against Dennis Skinner) - it had nothing to do with who his constituency wanted - Blair didn't give a flying f*ck about party democracy.

Yeah I understand that, but you specifically said Blair LP central HQ conspired with Kyle and his cronies to have Kyle installed. That is an accusation of a specific nature, not just of Kyle's politics in general. The Labour Party needs it's left of centre politicians. It would be a poorer debate without a broad policy representation within the party.

No I didn't - I said the Blairite LP HQ conspired to shut down the B&H LP when Kyle's cronies were all defeated in an election for the officer board of the local LP - it is a specific accusation - and it is well documented.

The LP needs to selected candidates to support LP policy as decided by LP conference - Kyle does not support those policies.

Policies like securing peace in Northern Ireland via the Good Friday agreement,

peace has not been 'secured' in the North of Ireland - all the GFa has done is to institutionalise sectarianism in the political sphere - the paramilitaries had hit a dead-end (politically and militarily) and the mass of the population were turning against their activities - they had no choice but to retreat. and in reality Blair played a minor role in the arrangement

handing control of interest rates to the central bank preventing the crippling 15% rates on the Tory watch in the early 90s, not joining the Euro, introducing the minimum wage, reforming the welfare state and becoming the most redistributive government since Wilson, introducing winter fuel payments, introducing extended parental rights, banning fox hunting and offering £400 to Britain's poorest pensioners to go towards their council tax? Those policies?

Policies like -

marketising and part privatising comprehensive education
part privatising the NHS
demanded military intervention in Kosovo (and was prepared to send 50,000 British troops there)
British military intervention in Sierra Leone
supporting the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq (as a boot-lick of Bush)
introduced tuition fees (and student loans) - and then trebled them
cut Lone Parent Benefit

Oh - and the minimum wage set was £3.60 an hour.

Too many people accept their lot without questioning why most of our lives are getting worse in the 5th biggest economy in the World. If we all paid a tenner a week extra in Income tax a week the country would be considerably better off and those on £80K won't feel so hard done by. However, we all expect other people to pay for what we think we deserve. This has to change, we found £500Bn odd to bail out the banks after all so the money is there, somewhere.

Voted against stricter punishments for being a member of a terror group.
Voted against criminalising the encouragement of terrorism.
Voted against banning al-Qaeda.
Voted against outlawing the glorification of terror.
Voted against control orders.
Voted against increased funding for the security services to combat terrorism.

So it’s a tricky one really.


Basically, Corbyn is a looney leftie that will literally destroy this country.

Vote for him at your peril.

If America had an NHS like we have (atm), Breaking Bad would never have been made, because Walter White would not have had to make and sell methamphetamine to pay his medical costs.

Too many people accept their lot without questioning why most of our lives are getting worse in the 5th biggest economy in the World. If we all paid a tenner a week extra in Income tax a week the country would be considerably better off and those on £80K won't feel so hard done by. However, we all expect other people to pay for what we think we deserve. This has to change, we found £500Bn odd to bail out the banks after all so the money is there, somewhere.
