Yes I hear this too.
Sweden has allowed a lot of immigration and that will upset a certain percentage of the population.
But that is typical Sweden to do this, to take in people who are desperate and need help and the people of Sweden are generally tolerant because they are nice, gentle people.
Trust PPF to come in with his usual immigration crap without knowing anything about it in a foreign country just to stir things up.
It's pond life like him that make this country a depressing place to live at the moment.

Did I put you on the spot then, I thought it was a balanced response to your fairy tale
Regards
DF

Great interview Andrew Neil has done today with comrade Corbyn.

To summarise.

No apologies for anti semitism, counselling for ISIS, no clue on the economy, free money galore and he’s going fishing when there’s the next neverendum.

Great stuff. #Nevercorbyn

Listen for yourself, I think you’ll find my summary spot on, Corbyn makes Boris look like an intellectual heavyweight. #Nevercorbyn

Sometimes I don’t mind their ‘patriotic’ resilience in the face of a daily NSC onslaught, but then I remind myself that in the past they took a serious interest in the Nazi’s and anti semitism. WTF is all that about? Why would an Englishman get a boner about the genocide or hate of a minority they know little about, have done them no personal harm, including the owner of our football club. Weird isn’t it, the UK in 2019 has emboldened haters at both ends of the political spectrum. The internet must be the main conduit for this.

When I was I kid, the NF led by Martin Webster and John Tyndall, was the only very fringe grouping of that ilk.

That is not my issue. My issue is you writing lies on here with absolutely no back up whatsoever.

No lies said at all. Facts have been posted on personal tax calc’s, on the numbers who own small limited companies, on the tax take the changes are alleged to rake in, and on the IFS’s key points on the Labour Manifesto’s funding discrepancies.

My example tax calc’s were confirmed as correct last week on NSC, including by at least one Labour voter with tax knowledge. We then went on to a wider discussion about the rights and wrongs of that. You missed all the fun.

Exactly. The amount of liars on here claiming party X can not afford Y is astounding. It really is.

I think it’s a bit harsh to call them liars. Having an opinion doesn’t (necessarily) make you a liar. I think the majority on here are fair-minded and would admit that they don’t know absolutely whether a particular party’s plans are affordable. I think we all recognise on here that none of us (as far as I know) works for HMT or IFS - and even if we did, we still wouldn’t guarantee that a particular plan is affordable! We all form our opinions and perceptions based on what we read and hear - preferably we’d make our minds up based on independent sources but it’s difficult to judge what’s genuinely independent. I’ve a lot of time too for the views of anyone on here with some experience and expertise of a particular issue or subject.

That is not what I asked about though. You are waffling on about specific cases. I am asking you all to back up the claim labour can not afford it. When asked that you are say if some person erans this they pay that. What? That makes no sense.

You said a whole load a things, including that my example company profit figures are unrealistic or uncommon, also lies. A wild scatter gun of accusations, comments clearly never thought through, you’re unable to listen or take on board figures. You demonstrated a complete lack of knowledge on how tax changes would adversely affect everyone who receives dividends or runs a limited company of any size. The IFS bullet points gave you the holes in the Labour budget, and their background narrative on why tax take never meets straight line expectations when there’s a significant rate hike.

Then come back with the cerebral “lies”.

actually i think the claim was that Labour's contention that only the top 5% income earners will pay for the taxes rises. its demonstrated as false with large amounts being raised from middle classes, small businesses, pensions and investors.

the Labour workings already have a £58Bn short fall due to pension change, and they've not put anything in for cost of borrowing, the rest assumes unrealistic compliance and modest changes to economy resulting from their changes.

As stated by Andrew Neil.

Corbyn didn’t reply.

What should this cost of borrowing be?
assuming current rate ~1% £40bn for the National Transformation Fund, not counting the National Investment Bank.

Why worry about the cost of borrowing? The government can just create the money to put into the economy until inflation starts to rise when higher taxes and other measures can be introduced to put the breaks on any overheating.

Is it ok to assume current rates? Why is this a good assumption?

its not ok really, rates would likely rise trying to raise that much additional borrowing. i was being generous.

No. I have asked ONE question: can you back up and show your working to your claim that labour can not afford their pledges? That is all. So far you have not even attempted to apart from distract and ramble about specific tax examples.

Go to the BBC website and watch Corbyn explain how he is going to fund the WASPI pension pledge.

He simply doesn’t know.

Some things, like the failings and destruction left behind by previous generations should be fixed no matter the cost. That is our moral obligation. Like sorting out the climate ****up and cancelling student debt and bringing about equality.
The question of how we fund these is irrelevant, it is the right thing to do and if we need to be all taxed a bit more to pay for our past mistakes than so be it. We must refuse to be a generation who do not kick problems down the road for a quick gain now like has been done in the past!

thats a reasonable point of view, so you'd be concerned the pension rebate isnt funded from any taxes.

Does it matter if its taxes or borrowing? As long as it is sustainable borrowing anyway.

does it matter? depends if you want to just kick the can down the road, the level of borrowing is not sustainable, already have £1.7 trillion costing ~50bn in interest.
