Very true and there are plenty on here, who regularly pop up and say that the electorate is thick.

Politics has dumbed down more and more over the years. It’s not about policies it’s about media portrayal of the leaders. Tonight is perhaps the end of a political era. Boris and Trump,if that doesn’t show how ****ed the world is.

Irrespective of party politics, the exit poll result would restore my faith in the country. We had a referendum and should abide by the result and this was at the heart of the GE.

If the next 5 years turns to shit then the Tories will have to own the lot , their lies may come back to haunt them

Equally if they achieve the opposite, they will be in power for generations. They don’t deserve it but they have a real chance to turn the country around and come back somewhere near to the centre. Do or die for the tories but labour have already committed suicide

That, or die.

Got to get rid of Jezza and his carnival of fools, first.

Oh, John McDonnel on TV now....

He admits it....they did badly. 'Big issue was Brexit'. No it wasn't. It was labour looked like shit.

They were.

Must resign now....Must resign.

Sorry Harry, I admire your work, but on this occasion, it was about Brexit - pure and simple this was a second referendum - Boris knew this, which is why he called the election, and why Labour were so scared of it. Labour wanted Boris to **** up the negotiations and lost in a game of call my bluff... Oh, and yes Corbyn didn't help, his past caught up with him,.

That would always happen. In a year we'll have a proper indicator.

But it's not just about money.

Yes, I realise that but your decision to vote for that nice kind grandad seemed puzzling. Yes, he seemed to you to be the least mediocre of the two of them, but he will take your vote as one of confidence in his policies, which you say you don't necessarily agree with!

I was hoping to contribute to minimise the damage. Possibly a hung parliament. Oh well...

Anyway, it seems that Corbyn will now resign. Much against my expectations. That will be GOOD.

I also think Boris may well balls things up quickly. That is the least of my concerns. I'd prefer to see him succeed for all our sakes.

All in all, the people have spoken and I have no qualms. Corbyn deserved to lose. I am much more angry with him and his nobber gang than I am with Boris the liar. Corbyn's gang have let me down.

I can't believe that so many thought that the people would give up democracy for their chosen party.
The viciousness from the remainers like you say for the past 3.5 years have wound people up, beyond their standard patience threshold.

Agree Soubry was a pain in the arse.

Least you can call off the riots and blood spilling you tried to prophesie.

Good spot that - Oh! and if you look even more closely at your screenshot, you will see the other good work the Tories are doing with their despised Universal Credit - maybe you should have cropped that bit off…!

You seem to think I am pro Tory, don't mistake me for a supporter of the Conservative Party, I am mostly indifferent to it.

What I am is absolutely opposed to Leftwing, liberal, marxist, nasty, deceitful, self-righteous, sanctimonious, morally superior, economically illiterate, group-identity-loving, class-war-stirring, politics-of-envy playing idiots.

Hardly surprising, you don't beat modern social media infected modern neo-liberalism with old fashioned 1970s socialism.

The story of the last few years for me is this. A number of young left leaning voters have jumped on a "new" message that is actually quite old and stale.

Millions of Tories voters appear oblivious to that fact that Tory politics have changed as much as Labour. Unlike Labour they have the kept the frightening ideological ones backstage.

If the exit Polls are true, welcome to the world of Raab, Rees Mogg and Pritel. The ones who think Thatcher didn't go far enough :)

The good thing is that Jolly Red Giant still has his intellectual integrity. Because we all know that feeds homeless kids.

Do me a favour, "come around back somewhere near to the centre" - you are having a laugh aren't you? This result (if correct) gives them their ideological opportunity to screw the working man, disabled and disadvantaged into the ground - welcome to a future of zero hours contracts, no stability, no future, just fear, fear of losing your job, house, life, etc.

You would be foolish to rub anyone's nose in this.... at least until we see how the Johnston governance pans out. Try not to see this as a game - it's far more important and long term.
Glad to see you are 'rising above it'... you scarcely managed it before this moment.
'Friends'? I don't even know you and am unlikely to experience that dubious pleasure so that is a pointless request. We were never enemies... nor friends - and are unlikely ever to be.

I am happy to hold out my hand to you lever, and you are one of the most patronising of posters.

My English isn't great never has been never will be, but don't let it fool you about my IQ and my more significant picture thinking, because on that one I will floor you every time.

Never underestimate people it's the golden rule.

All the parties underestimated Boris.

Sorry, this was effectively a second Brexit referendum - Labour have lost massively (it appears) in the North and Midlands, usual Labour hotbeds, purely because those areas were massive Leave areas - I just really can't believe that former Labour supporters have jumped into bed with the Tories, just to leave the EU - how thick are people. Short term gain for long term pain...!

They have apparently jumped ship because they have been ignored by their MPs. Simple as that. If the official Labour line is that makes them thick then do not expect to get voted back into government within a generation. Maybe two.

That's quite a list of people you don't like, isn't it? I guess if you took out Left wing, liberal and Marxist you could be describing the Tories too...!

Leaving the EU is forever, a government is for a single parliament.

So really it's short term pain for long term gain, isn't it.

Don't be so silly. Most folk just want to get on with their lives, and support their families. They don't have an intrinsic interest in politics, but are aware of the intricacies and everyday realities of life -the university of life, if you want. To say they are ashamed is absurd.

It's selfish, uncaring c**nts like you that should be ashamed.
I hope that very soon you need a trolley or a space on the floor somewhere.
