The Blairites sabotaged the previous election campaign and they have been doing the same to this one (on a quieter scale because of brexit). They have failed to date through a combination of lack of support in the LP and through their own sheer incompetence.

If there was a Blairite/LibDem/SNP majority you would find the Blairites jumping very quickly after the election to impose Remain - but there won't be so they are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

The mistake Corbyn made was not forcing through mandatory reselection of MPs - that would have had the lot of them running for the hills.

It’s always someone else’s fault with Labour, the public don’t like Jezza/majority of the shadow cabinet and don’t want him as PM

If someone else was in charge they would be cruising this election.

Last Thursday 5th December, my other half was told that 12 people will be made redundant (he was one of 19). Today he has been told he will finish on 20th December. He has been there 16.5 years. The firm has blamed Brexit because a lot of their customers are European.

That's simply not true though - Labour's key policies poll very well, most commanding the support of over 50% of the population. The problem is that when all people see is a barrage of misinformation from the media, it's difficult for many to form a positive view. Only yesterday we heard that one of Matthew Hancock's team had been punched by a Labour campaigner, we heard that the baby on the floor was fake news (that one is still being peddled) - Of course, neither of these were true but it didn't stop the likes of the Telegraph, Laura Kuenssberg, Robert Peston widely sharing this hogwash....

There are some gains for a lower sterling, but for many business its put margins under pressure, and for many ordinary folk recent wage rises are just offset by reduced spending power

If Labour’s policies were really popular then they should be polling higher, end of story. On last night’s BBC news Kuenssberg was giving Boris a torrid time. Same with Nick Robinson on Today this morning who slaughtered the poor Tory spokesman who was on about ten past seven. And the BBC News repeatedly showed video of Hancock getting in the car that proved the Tory briefing was lies.

The Telegraph you say? Well, they would say that, wouldn’t they. I doubt you could find me a single Torygraph reader who agrees with Corbyn’s policies.

If the policies were popular they’d be ahead in the polls and that’s that. If you cannot sell / back up nationalisation and free stuff you might as well quit.

I’m not writing this as a Tory either. I’m a hugely frustrated centre left / social liberal. I have been complete abandoned by everyone and all I can do is sit on the sidelines and metaphorically weep as a useless, mendacious, evil clown defaults his way to power past Socialst Grandad.

Social care crisis? What is that all about?

Well, you wait until a dementia riddled loved one of yours needs care. Wait until you realise how some can't afford care at home. Wait until you see the state of publicly funded care homes - A warning, you will need a strong consitution (and and acceptance of minimum wage foreign workers of course). I was fortunate when searching for a home for my mother, as I was able to pay I could look at the more 'luxurious' end of the care home market but I don't mind telling you, I cried for the people in the council run homes. Unfortunately my mum was moved out of an intensive care unit on to a non medical ward too early after a fall because, of course, they needed the bed. She never made it to a care home, I sat and watched her die a few days later. Cared for by the wonderful NHS staff - You'll never understand how much pressure they are under.

In response to others, that's why we despise the Tories and their supporters, not because we have different opinions but because they are vile and fundamentally do not care what happens to us and our families.

I don't post here much anymore, however I know what company you are talking about. I know someone who worked there for 20+ years, and left on the first round of redundancies. They told me at the time, it had nothing to do with Brexit. See you later.
