Now we have someone who is seriously better at marathon running than others - brilliant stuff

That's pretty unfair Mr T. 6hours 30 is better than a lot of us can do, and it IS something to be proud of. Giving it the big I am on this thread is just making you sound like a bit of a prick.

Well done Tim.

You're probably right. I should not have given it the big I am. But, Tim is a consistently arrogant person with one of the most disliked Internet personas there is. He likes to mock less fortunate people than himself. He has bragged about his salary, bragged about owning multiple houses, challenged folk with "come back when you can afford to live in Brighton", publicly mocked tenants who have rented his 2nd property, cyber-bullied a fellow NSCer, lied about inside info regarding the Falmer inquiry etc etc. The list is endless. And let's not forget it was probably only a NSC outing that prevented him costing REMF money today-he admitted and apologised for this though. It's also my view that he is a marathon chancer, someone who does not put in the many months of hard graft and training but is quite happy to walk the course and bask in the glory of a poor time. Remember he was goading me about 4 hours.

I saw Tim at 22 miles and he was clearly struggling and in great pain. The fact he completed the further 4.2 miles after being severly injured, strapped up and spending 20 minutes with SJA makes me wonder how many people would have thrown the towel in ? A lot, I would guess, so for me it was a heroic effort.

*sniff* Gawd bless ya, Tim.

To be fair to Pot that's a pretty amusing response. Top quality posting.

He did deliver.

He finished and he raised money.

Mine was about doing something I never expected to do and raise some money for a good cause. I imagine not everyone has such a competitive edge when it comes to a big feat.

Have just seen that you succeeded in your challenge. Very well done.

Raised funds for your chosen (and worthwhile) charity and 'competed' for the right reasons. The perfect combination. Huge admiration for you.
