I'm not sure it was. I don't think defeat would've changed much with the hierarchy because they 'trust the process'. There are going to be ups and downs with this manager and young squad, all of whom are learning. I'm happy to stick with the current setup and not get too high or too low.

The performance tonight was everything from us. If the players hadn't reacted tonight I genuinely believe that could have been the beginning of the end if not the end for Fab..They had the perfect excuse as well. Bart did his best imperial leather impression early on and they could have carried on where they left off last week.

The fact they didn't suggests the camp is more together than I gave it credit for. For whatever reason, we also seem to play better without Pedro (who is also one of my favourite players). Nope. Me neither.

Can you write the same thread when we fail to beat Southampton in a couple of weeks please.

This 'bedwetters' phrase makes no sense and is as embarrassing for the people who use it as it is to the overreactions to getting thrashed by Forest.
Find some joy

I don’t agree with the OP’s choice of phrase, but the sentiment is 🎯
I seem to have caught the moment.

I'm sure a loss next game will make a minority feel justified. f*** 'em. Miserablists.

The things I was most impressed with tonight was his substitutions, meant we really controlled what could have been a nervous second half.
Not to take anything away from FH, it must have been nice for him to be able to sub such quality players last night. Being able to bring on Gomez, Ayari, O’Riley and Pedro is a nice position to be in.

Well my bed is still wet. Delighted with the result but I just don't like the bloke

Will be equally delighted if I can dry my bed in the future and admit I was wrong, much like how I had to eat humble pie after wanting rid of Gross for being slow. I was wrong then and maybe I'm wrong now.

Time will tell.

Not quite up there with the “Olive Branch” thread but effective I guess

One Swallow doesn't make a summer

Rather be a realist than a Licker
By ‘realist’ you mean somebody that has a complete lack of understanding of why we hired FH, what we are trying to do with him, and how Bloom and Barber expect this season to go while he learns English football?

I very much doubt he meant anything like that at all.
