That was utterly brilliant.

For us absolutely- we ALL needed that - (and against Chelsea too!) - the fans, the squad and the manager.

It wasn't ‘utterly brilliant’ football though despite the win -a poor first half against a pedestrian side - good second half but we are still vulnerable in transition and our tempo and communication is off at times. Many areas improved though from that awful performance against Forest.

I tend to take the wins and losses in my stride tbh without getting to excited or too depressed or thinking back or forward too much. The process is never linear.

I have maintained all season that this season will be about breaking in a young manager with young players - so not expected anything other than a midtable finish but so good to see players like Hinsh, Rutter and Minteh becoming significant players in Hürzeler’s starting eleven.

Definitely - it was a very welcome win tonight - it was needed to silence some of the ground swell building in the NSC fan base against Hürzeler but I doubt the first half performance and conceding a needless own goal has silenced everyone.

I don’t see what is wrong with people being upset losing 7-0. Going on social media and having go directly at players, manager or the club is a big no no, but being unhappy and having a rant to yourself is ok. Does not mean you can’t enjoy tonight.

Can you write the same thread when we fail to beat Southampton in a couple of weeks please.

This 'bedwetters' phrase makes no sense and is as embarrassing for the people who use it as it is to the overreactions to getting thrashed by Forest.

Be a bit weird if people who wanted him out changed their entire thought process based on this one result.

I personally have been utterly unconvinced by Hurzeler all season and remain that way.

Bloody glad we’re through but that one game doesn’t change anything for me

He can say 'trust the process' as many times as he likes - his team has just beaten Chelsea and responded in the perfect way to last week.

Maybe trusting the process actually works?

We will see. The team responded perfectly from last week, tonight was thoroughly enjoyable and some. Me and my lad haven't missed many this season but that was one of them. We would have loved to have been there.

Tonight was our cup final. Arguably it was Fabs. Not sure it was for Chelsea or Enzo. I suspect next Friday will be more difficult. Let's hope I'm wrong.

Incredible.

A week ago this club was the worst run club in all of Europe. We were adrift and heading squarely for the Championship, our recruitment was shite and every player we’d signed in the last 18 months was barely better than a pub player. We had a PE teacher as a manager who couldn’t command the respect of his own houseplants.

What a turnaround in a week, eh?

I'm not sure it was. I don't think defeat would've changed much with the hierarchy because they 'trust the process'. There are going to be ups and downs with this manager and young squad, all of whom are learning. I'm happy to stick with the current setup and not get too high or too low.
