Same as after literally every other defeat. About a dozen new threads questioning Fab, tactics, recruitment, club going backwards etc, another 3 or 4 scapegoating various players and a lickers v bedwetters binfest

Not sure about the De Zerbi-like ness of the performances.
But the two Chelsea games were undoubtedly our best of the season, and were not a result of "trusting the process".

It was great to see the team able to execute 2 cohesive 90 minutes inside a week.
I suspect it wasn't just the Forest tactics which were set light to at the training ground.

If Southampton try to low-block us on Saturday, then I suspect we will struggle against them.
But that won't necessarily be down to Fab.
Need to study Bmuff attack with pace against these low block sides and not slow it down to their level which we have a habit of doing.

What an angry irrational response, to a pretty fair comment, what do you mean 'you lot'? I've watched this club for almost 30 years in all 4 divisions, I've travelled to 56 games to watch this club's various teams already this season, where have I said I don't trust and respect Tony Bloom? So I don't need to be told what good owner he is, I wouldn't put that commitment in if I didn't. Do I realise that we are lucky to be where we are, yes, almost all my friends who support other clubs, are languishing in National League South/North. Thanks to Tony Bloom I got to watch European football, 90% of English fans never get to do that. Does that mean we should always look at anything above relegation as permanent success? Expectations shift, and we should be looking up the table, and we should always strive to do better, will I ever call for Tony Bloom to go? No? I don't think I ever have, Top 10 is the premier league is good enough, no one is debating that. Just lots of strange pointed 'you' who is the 'you', people who irrationally support the club no matter what home and away every week?
Fair enough, your comment unfairly copped the bollocking that others should have received. Apologies offered. Suffice to say I stand by every word I wrote and do not see anything irrational about them, other than it comes across as targeted against your post when it was in fact aimed at the ingrates who are behaving like toddlers demanding the sacking of one of our most successful managers (in terms of league position) and a refund on their attendance cost. FFS you'd think they individually forked out the 200m

It’s rather amusing though lose Saturday and the same posters will be back to it’s a transition season 🤣
For me it is a transition season, but yep we lose Saturday and the same twats who have have been somewhat silent will be out calling for heads to roll with renewed confidence that we are otherwise doomed.

I was in the same boat. @jackalbion is a sensible chap.

Agree with your other point about it being a transition season but that the usual 'heads should roll' sword-wavers will be back if we cock it up against Stains and/or B'muff.

And they will then get all titsy when people like me mock them and ask where the protest march will start from.
(I suggest Mellor, Lancs).

Blimey - this thread has now morphed into positivity about a European Campaign next season, the bi polar nature of our fan base knows no bounds :ROFLMAO:

Bring it on I say, but let's try and keep those expectations in check
I changed the thread title because a couple of people found it distractingly provocative.
It remains a venue for people who think we should sack the manager now to argue with people who tut at such hysteria.
Sorry, not hysteria. Perfectly reasonable questioning of the abject failure on the pitch.
Sorry, not failure. Disappointingly unacceptable performances.
Sorry, not unacceptable, just cluelessly naive.
Sorry not naive, but what do you expect if you appoint an inexperienced manager.
It's down to that Barber and his . . . . (continued on page 17629)

No Worries, I think I've been pretty fair to Huerzler over time, I think all it was, was not seeing a clear path to what he's building tactically, ultimately results is what matter, and it seems like he's learnt a lot from the Forest debacle, which is what I wanted to see.

Don't get me wrong, if we lose to Saints, I will be fuming. Mainly because I'm going and it will trigger the emotional scaring I still hold from Liecester away...

f*** me!

2 wins and we're back to counting points from the next run of games are we?
How did that work out over December?
I said a similar thing on the tracker thread the other day, noting that we should probably take things one game at a time and not get fixated on a single result – good or bad. But then, according to some people on here, I'm not a proper fan, so what do I know?

I think it’s fair to say that your post describes the opinion of the vast majority of us. From mid-November to the New Year we seemed aimless, and certainly mistake ridden, in a number of games where we really should have done better - against Leicester, Southampton and Palace. I thought we’d turned the corner in January with some decent results then - Forest!

Whatever happened in that week preceding our Cup win to Chelsea must have been a thorough reset from top to bottom. With both our wins against the West London branch of BHA we looked so convincing in all departments, and for a change saw both games out comfortably. Next up - Southampton, the woeful team that were unlucky not to have all three points when they visited the Amex. I am hoping and praying that this will not be a banana skin job and that we show our full potential as we did in our 3-0 win last Saturday.

That 7-0 tonking came hard on the heels of the pathetic 'Easy Six' showing in December. IMHO you'd have to be some kind of heavily-sedated freak not to show some kind of strong wtf reaction

I'd say it was worthy of at least one raised eyebrow and a tut and I do not say that lightly.

I went as far as to think Fab had made a mistake with that starting one man midfield lineup. His worse mistake since the suicide high line at Chelsea.

It didn't make me want him sacked though but then I very rarely want a manager sacked. If a manager refuses to admit mistakes or adapt then that is when they need to go.

On the other hand I don't have a problem with others questioning his ability using the evidence available.

Also he could mention the process a little less often and drop "guys" from his vocabulary completely. But that is just me and my prejudices...
