Not to mention Palace losing for a singing the blues weekend. But every fan can enjoy that.

To be honest, this is the big high to the Forest big low at the moment. Many on here are almost bi polar and that’s simply how being a football fan affects some.

These “olive branch” threads are just as bad as the out threads. Each will get bounced every time there’s a noticeably good or bad result. “I was right”. “No, I was right”. Yawn. Especially if you have an ego the size of Sweden.
At least we don't get a new post every time Ashley Barnes scores now...!

I heard a rumour that you need to work harder if you are envious of some imaginary fan of the year ???

But I don't get exercised by rumours.

Especially total bollocks rumours.

You have every right to emote.

And so do I

Oh and PS, if you're not a bed wetter, why take offense?
And if you haven't, great, but everyone knows its wrong to take offense on behalf of other people ???
When did I say I was offended? Calling fans bed wetters is so lazy. I was f***ed off at the manager and his tactics/lineup after getting pumped 7nil? What normal fan isn't pissed off after that shambles, except lickers who get some sort of kick out of acting all high and mighty over others. It's always easy bouncing comments and threads of fans, who are clearly reacting emotionally after such a performance in hindsight 🙄

We are probably going to have to agree to disagree and move on! We all want the Albion to be doing well.

Weird that you say bed setters is lazy then use lickers in the next sentence.

I was pissed off after that game, who wouldn’t have been. My immediate reaction wasn’t to sack the manager though, it was more about what reaction we can get, are we capable of addressing some key areas.

Sacking managers is rarely a panacea. The only bounce really has been Moyes. Southampton, Leicester, Wolves, West Ham, ManUtd all sacked their managers, none of them seen any tangible improvement.

All good points Bold Seagull.

Tbf excluding my emotional reaction to that defeat. I tend to class myself as pretty level headed. Perhaps, I need to re-evaluate whether I am indeed a bed wetter or perhaps just a fan, who has been a little spolit with a European journey and lost a little perspective along the way. Hopefully it's the latter.

Nah you don't get away with it that easily, I consider myself a normal fan, and rather than getting f***ed off at the manager, I was disappointed and felt for the squad and the manager. I get the impression that some folk think that the players and coaches couldn't give a f**k if they win or lose. Its not ass-licking to think that people who shout their mouths off in this manner are just behaving like entitled, bed-wetting twats. It's really embarrassing to read some of the comments knowing that these people represent the same team I follow.

I’m still with the OP on this one. The Forest result was a bad one, but some of the comments and narratives built up on here after it were deranged.

I’m almost certain that we’re going to be held to a 0-0 draw (at best) by Southampton, which will doubtless cause further annoyance and frustration. Those weaponising a poor result into an overarching narrative of “the board have lost their way, the manager is clueless and the players are all idiots” will not retain any respect from me going forward.

Sometimes (often) a bad result is just a bad result. They happen. Especially with inexperienced players and coaching staff.
It wasn’t a bad result, the Everton result was a bad result, this was out worse defeat in 67 years. SIXTY SEVEN YEARS. In hindsight the reactions may have been a bit much and I agree anyone criticising the board have lost their mind, but let’s not pretend this was just another poor result, it was historically bad.
Being honest, the outbursts and behaviour after the Forest game painted many users to me in a different (much worse) light. A number of people went on ignore for their absolute hysteria and completely made up bollocks.

I said at the start of the season, a top ten finish and a cup run would be a good return for a new coach and coming off the back of a terrible finish to last season.

Absolutely nothing has changed. Nothing changed in my views when get got pumped by Forest, nor after Friday’s pumping of Chelsea.

The way I see it, if a poster can be so incredibly OTT in their reactions to a defeat (manager out, slagging all our players, even our owner), how could they possibly be taken seriously going forward.

I don’t want to hear how “I was Fab out, now I’m not so sure”. If you were Fab out, you were incredibly deluded about our season already.

Why would I want to hear someone who is so ridiculous in their views talk about music, politics or anything substantial, let alone their incredibly lacking understanding of football.

We will have bad results again (hopefully not as bad as that one, but bad all the same). Because we aren’t a top side. Changing the manager after a defeat wouldn’t have made us into a top side.

I think this a large chunk of people in this place have been absolutely embarrassing to be honest

You were one of the most vocal about wanting Graham Potter out when he had already achieved more than the current manager has.

You are also on the Mitoma thread saying clearly you would have sold him to Saudi.

The self righteousness and hypocrisy towards fans who understandably were upset after a record defeat is unbelievable.

Everybody posts things that over time may turn out to be wrong.

There were people going over the top and people always will. I didn't like it when people went OTT with Weiffer against Wolves.

However, I still don't think you can class everyone who was dissapointed and reacted perhaps a little OTT to that result as an 'entitled, bed wetting twat'. It wasn't an ordinary game to benchmark on.

I lost my mind on here after the Forest game and I'm big enough to admit I went overboard.

That said I'm still not sold on Fab. The Chelsea league game is probably, to my sometimes hazy memory, the first time this season we've played a complete game for 90 minutes. We've had good results this season but for me I've not been wowed by him or the style of play.

I'm basically sitting at the foot of the fence, having shuffled back from 'Out' post-Forest. But I don't think I'll ever be 'In' on him. Maybe I will, I don't know.

For now, for me, I'm supporting the team and remaining as ambivalent as I can about who is in charge of the team. If Fab stays, fine. If he goes, also fine.

I don't mind being called a bedwetter or whatever nor do I mind receiving pushback or eye rolls on what I say. Part of the beauty of football is how so many people can view the same things in entirely different ways.

Good post. I am drawn to 'I'm still not sold on Fab'.

I think that's where I am. I'm not convinced....yet. But why would I be? He's still learning, experimenting. Sometimes he gets things wrong, sometimes he gets them right. He's still a work in progress. And the youngest manager in the etc etc.

The thing I'm looking for is a sense of progress. I was hoping for a reaction after Forest, and we got it. The second performance against Chelsea was better than the first. So well done Fab and the players.

We are learning from our mistakes.

I have been “on the fence” about him all season.

The last two results have been brilliant, but they follow the trend of us doing well against decent sides (besides Forest/Liverpool). The big test is Southampton next week and whether we can finally start seeing some positive results against those down the bottom of the table.

Agreed, more aimed at those who think not going over the top makes the person not a normal fan and an arse-licker ;) the rest are just embarrassingly entitled.

'So, bedwetters. f*** off.'

What about those of us who voted fence? I don't mind admitting I really wanted a piss, but in the event I didn't.

Nobody ever considers the quiet middle-of-the-road, don't want to make a fuss, fence-sitters. We're invisible.
Give it a rest splinter arse!

(I too am pretty much middle of the road but I want a cool nickname like the lickers and bed wetters have).

So called football supporters who come across as dull as dishwater and just shrug at a defeat or don’t get to high at a win and come out with statements like it’s never going to be linear and question why people are showing actual Emotion are plain weird in my book.

In real life I’m actually responsible for people’s lives in a way and football is a chance to let off some steam.
If you couldn’t care less if we win or lose and follow the clubs progress like a companies stock portfolio to me that doesn’t sound like much fun.

Who really cares if we lose our heads at getting stuffed 7-0 or throw away 2-0 leads twice in injury time against poor sides. We are only venting letting off steam and doing what millions of football fans do across the globe on weekly basis.

The stuffy prawn sandwich brigade may not feel that raw emotion and that’s sad in its own way is something they don’t understand so they insult those who do.
