FFS you have a bloody choice - YOU CAN BRING YOUR OWN FOOD IN YOU ARE NOT FORCED TO USE THE CLUB CATERING FACILITIES

Once again you have missed the point THEY WANT US TO USE THE FACILITIES, or they wouldn't provide them it is a case of making the best use and most money from the facilities available. Have I not heard that about Withdean in general.

No you have missed the point banging on about "how appalled" you are.

The club do not give a toss about their supporters whilst at Withdean as they are fully aware it is a captive audience.

For instance did you know that child seasons at Plymouth are more than 300% cheaper than at BHAFC

The interesting point will be how the club will change its attitude once Falmer is built and there is a real need to put bums on seats. This seriously concerns me and I sincerely hope the club appoint a professional marketing manager.

because pleps like you go and buy and they make serious amount of money.if i could do the catering at the withdean i would produce the same as they do now end off, decent food is wasted on most of the people that q, :

Feck me and I thought Gordon Ramsey was arrogant. But at least his arrogance is born from trying to produce quality food.

I hope never to eat in a restaurant where you are the chef

I'll say this very slowly for the hard of thinking.

We .. are .. not .. stupid.

Of course you CAN bring in your own food. But the club is missing an opportunity to increase its revenue by providing a crap service.

Do..you...get..it..now?

And if you read my post above you will see that the club are indifferent to wanting to change anything whilst there is a captive market

This may be so but it doesn't make it right and should be addressed by the club.

Right so finally we are starting to agree :clap2: :clap2:

So how about writing to the club and seeing what they say or mailing them if you are unhappy with what is on offer ?

Apparently they don't give a shit, so what's the point :jester:

You know full well it wont be addressed by the club so why keep harping on about it. It's the f***ing catering ffs! It's not the tactics employed by McGhee or the lack of a decent midfield. It's something that you can simply ignore by bringing your own food, eating before you get to Withdean, or just waiting until after the game to go to an eaterie of your choice.

Some people just have to have something to moan about.

We all know that the club have far more important things to worry about right now than whether or not you can have onions with your burger. They have a very small, captive crowd at Withdean and they know that they really don't need to make much effort to turn a profit, plus the facilities that they have are basic to say the least. As Beach Hut had said earlier, it would be a different story if we we're at Falmer because hopefully they will have far more people to please, but even taking that into account I'd be happier if they got things right on the pitch first. I go to football to watch my team play, I'd like the Albion to be successful, I really couldn't give a f*** if the tea isn't great.

The way half of you are going on it's like you only go for some chips and a coffee.

Most people on this thread seem to think the Club run the catering.

They don't.

The Club have appointed caterers who run the concessions. The Club do not set the prices nor the content of the kiosks although they can probably have a say in that.

The concession in the north stand is run by a different company to that running the south stand stalls hence the difference in the food provided.

The Club make their money from charging a price for the season's concession not from the money charged for cokes, burgers etc.

This, I promise, will be my last post on the subject. If you went to a posh restaurant and there were no toilets, you wouldn't say - or like said to you by the management - 'you can always go home for a dump, or nip to the McDonalds next door'. It is a service that could rightfully be expected to be provided. Decent, well-priced catering at Withdean falls into exactly the same category. Bringing your own is an option, but has nothing to do with what is actually provided.

In that case, they ought to take the catering on themselves and keep the profit, because it wouldn't be hard for a couple of grannies to do a better job than the presumably 'professional' caterers that run the north stand kiosk.

I would think that the club could earn more money from the catering towards acheiving Falmer than is recived from 'the begging buckets' taken around from Falmer for ALL.

This is all about the general eficiency of the club to realise a potential to earn money and capitalise on that potential. The end product is FALMER which costs money but attitudes will not change when we get Falmer. It will be a case of its was ok in the past it will do now.

Brighton is a thriving city with numerous catering outlets of all decriptions I am sure that it wouldn't be difficult to enlist the help of an expert in on honary capacity, thus costing nothing, to advise them on the ways to earn money through catering whether it be short term, for the next 5 years, at Withdean, or long term at Falmer

Clearly that is a ludicrous suggestion! What right do you have to expect to be able to get something edible inside the ground, eh? Just take a flask you moaning muppet - we can do without your sort causing trouble. Unless you want to slag off Currie all through the match, of course... that's allowed. Just don't suggest anything constructive ok?!!!

Sorry but on another thread somebody asked where the money tree was to provide £10k per week to pay two players and I stupidly thought 2000 people ( less than 33% of our crowd) spending £5.each would go a long way towards it Sorry

Don't try to justify it now. An extra ten grand in the kitty every game - who'd want that?

(Engages Brain For A Second)

Oh... actually.... come to think of it..

WTF??? This smacks of a wind-up, but in case it isn't you seem to be inferring that the above is a no-holds-barred attack on everyone working in the catering industry, and that anyone wearing a silly white hat and check trousers should be put against the wall and shot. Which it clearly isn't.

People just want value for money. However, if you are in catering I'd keep the opinion that 'decent food is wasted on people that q' to yourself. The public don't like that sort of thing, look at Gerald Ratner...yeah, ok, he's still a multimillionaire.
attack on people in industry!!did you read that from my qoute no,people who can b bothered to q at football stadiums ,what do they expect,if your one of the ones that do,stop the moaning as i said always will be the same as it pays end of,and at the end of the day the club is gaining

I wonder when people will wake up to the fact that Dick Tight is an arrogant twat who only thinks of himself and his cronies and cares f*** all about the real fans, the ones who buy the season tickets and the shit burgers.
The sooner this potless pillock is forced out then the club may be able to move forward to a new ground with a decent team.
