All good stuff, although I was thinking when BTF posted that, that the stuff I was posting is actually older than people think- mostly 91-92-93, as this is when I was buying and spinning these tunes. People think they are newer because they turned up on Oakenfold compilations and those cd's that were popular when all that 'Fluro' trance shite was about.
Got the 'Song of Life' 12" and Lemon Interrupt (ie Underworld) remixes
And that Packet of Peace remix was awesome...

Some cracking posts from you and rowdey, I do love listening to early 90's acid house and techno, but it was all well before my time so I'm just a bit ignorant to what the good tunes were. When I get a chance I'm gonna rip all these tracks off youtube and stick it on the ipod

[yt ] <then insert the numbers or letters after 'v=' then [ /yt]
all without any spaces of course.
Preview it to check..

Oh wasn't aimed at you for sure - more having a pop at the first couple of posts..!
For someone who practically lived in the Zap from late eighties to early nineties, this thread is great -bit easy to get misy eyed about the 'old times' and how it's all 'just repetitive beats nowadays..'

Now you're talking, got this on Soma, loved the b-side too 'Intensities In-Ten-Cities'

Like you say Sergei, all classics although I don't remember "Rushing The House". Not from the name anyway.

Go to the flow with E and rush me - go to the flow with O rush me - O rush me E rush me.

Love it. Often mistakenly though to refer to Ian Rush.

Glad you're enjoying them. I used to DJ this stuff, and really think it all still holds its head up well today.
You never know I may get a chance to spin them once again...

Ichecked when Little Fluffy Clouds and the St Etienne version of Only Love Can Break Your Heart came out - both in 1990 so for me it would have to come down to these

Apologies for so many. I struggled to get it down to those. Tomorrow I'll probably pick completely different tunes

The rave generation was awesome...hasn't been a music revolution to come close since...I feel a bit sorry for the kids of today as they will never have an experience like it.

Oh my days, how did this slip my mind...
[yt]a6XOuiqW0WI[/yt]
Live, at the Zap, 92, Emmerson lining up the beats on his decks for 'the drop', place building to a frenzy, looking across at me in front of the speakers 'avin' it, and as I punch the air and shout 'NOW!' he drops the beat in. Place goes wild. Truly a great moment. Had a shake hands and chat afterwards, great guy.
Karl Hyde smashed his guitar at the end, as it was all too much, really an Epochal Gig.

London based (Sabres of Paradise), although Kriss Needs (Secret Knowledge) lived in Brighton, I believe.

Great moment, lucky to still have it..!

Emmerson used to get on my tits a bit - just a bit to repetitive, playing his tunes, bugger the crowd - unlike say Tall Paul or Eric Powell.. Just an opinion like.

Anway, couple of Big Zap tunes..
