Although NAE have snow here Sat Morning.

Actually, this is also almost shown on GFS. What I think is happening is we get some cold air early Saturday, with snow nearby, there's a milder period during Saturday (well less cold) with rain, and then the true cold air digs in as the low moves to the East, giving more snow potential overnight into Sunday.

We've got a birthday meal booked for 7pm at a pub 1200ft up top of Saddleworth where according to Metcheck they're expecting 45cm's of snow in the preceding 18hrs! Best cancel that one!

Eh? I haven't looked at this thread for a while as it looked like any wintery interference would be oop North. But Chelmsford Is right near me. I love snow 110% but I want spring warmth now

Reasonably good flumpage in West Yorkshire, and forecast for pretty much the rest of the day. Schools closed and our office closed at the moment "monitoring situation". I was gonna work from home today anyway.

Morning Papa. Any update on this? Any change? I'm wondering if my drive to Hastings on Sunday morning maybe tricky?

The latest output had Saturday damp and chilly down here (4-5c), and Sunday colder (2-3c) with a biting easterly wind, with perhaps some snow. The moderate snow had dropped from the Sunday forecast.

After that it's cold out to Thursday with some snow forecast at times, but nothing significant. However, in a strong easterly snow can appear at quite short notice

We're currently motoring towards Leek and its snowing hard and quite windy. Can't believe we left our mooring outside the pub this morning!
