I do not believe your equipment uncle. I'm in central Worthing and reading 6°c.

No snow at all tomorrow now on the latest BBC forecast. Dry and Sunny.

We were expecting snow tomorrow?!? I best ring up the MetOffice and let them know that their original forecast of "A few wintry showers near the Kent coast for a time Sunday, and perhaps locally icy, but otherwise a dry, brighter and less windy day with sunny intervals. Maximum Temperature 3 °C.", is in actual fact....the same.

Never mind.

The snow tomorrow is now not happening and on Monday it is in the midlands and southwest, nothing here. We may have a rogue snow shower on one of the nights next week but that will be it.

Again, there was never going to be snow tomorrow.

There's a lot of uncertainty as the models are giving different outcomes beyond about 96 hours at. They all appear to point to a cold snap, and the exact extent of snow is uncertain.

After reading the Model Discussion Forums on NetWeather there are a lot of confused people trying to ascertain what is happening. There's stratospheric data which is really confusing everything.

Some runs are pointing to the 'potential' for a significant event in the south-east on Mon/Tue if certain events unfold. But then a run from a different computer model (ECM) may predict slightly warmer conditions in the SE with sleet.

It's fair to say that this is really testing the forecasters. Also, these battles between cold/warm, snow/sleet/rain have always been a nightmare to get right, and local conditions effect things as well.

Alternatively, just look out of your door this morning, check the temperature and make a judgement for that's going to be happening over the next 48-96 hours. Yeah; that's what I'll do !!!!!

The BBC, met office and daily express, successfully over hyped an outside chance of Kent/Ashdown Forest getting max 1cm of snow, and everyone fell for it hook, line and sinker.

Stories the media have waited 24 mild months to drag out such as Gatwicks new snow ploughs, were finally aired.

The Sussex coast was always forecast to get zero, and now the whole of Sussex will get zero.

The temps are simply many degrees too high.
