Newhaven
It was raining hard at 2pm before it turned to snow. Any grit would’ve been washed away and a waste of time.
I couldn’t believe the snow actually laid in Newhaven seeing how hard it was raining at 2pm.
I kept checking the BBC weather app and it said rain, it also said rain and no mention of snow at 4pm when it was actually snowing

Took me 3 hours to get back to Lewes from Worthing. Genuinely thought I might have to sleep in the car at one point

Good luck anyone still out there

Glad to be finally back home! Saw first half of Spurs match in Downs Hotel, and then took a chance and trudged slowly back to car managing not to slip too much. Thankfully temperature had risen slightly so roads were more slush up there than they had been so we could get up the slope out and then down into Brighton via Bear road. As I drove back through town to Hove roads were pretty much clear of any snow as its lower down.

Took me an hour and 20 to get from the RSCH to Fiveways, via backstreet Kemptown, Freshfield Road, Queens Park Terrace, Hanover (a mistake - bit of sliding about), Elm Grove, the Level, London Road (clear), Preston Park Avenue. Unsure I'll be cycling to work tomorrow morning!

Probably the worst time for snow to fall. Just causes disruption with no time for fun.

Optinum tine is for overnight snow so the day starts with fun.

Mostly gone already up here in Uckfield. Still a bit on tops of cars and more sheltered bits of grass, but pathways and road it's all melted and like it was never there. We did have *just* enough to get kids on sledges (with an adult pulling) early evening, though, that was fun.

It’s stayed in our garden at 100m in Withdean, still 0C at our weather station, helped that we had a couple of inches of snow that settled from the very beginning yesterday afternoon.

Unless we have proper rain, it’ll last for days in parts of our garden.
