Every time this thread is bounced, I get excited. 3 days of disappointment so far! :lolol:

It's snowing in Austria! Very wet snow in the village which isn't lying, but from about 1,000 m and up it's starting to look like a ski resort. Forecast for the next week is no more precipitation, but temperature down to zero every night.

We stay above Schladming at 1,000m altitude. The snowfall is amazing just now, they wouldn't normally have this for some time to come.

I am that with normal weather fluctuations that much of this will melt soon, but higher up this is very promising. Looks great too.

🤣🤣 Who reads that shit!? (Any of it, not just the utterly bullshit weather articles)

670 mile blanket of snow with subzero temps next week!? There's nothing in the forecast that suggests anything even close to that, next few weeks let alone next week 🤣

Totally agree. Reliable weather forecasting such from the ECMRW show a mild England for the next two weeks, cooler but no snow next weekend.

It's unusual and noteworthy....because it's normally the mail that goes for sensationalist journalism!
Ooh, winter is colder than summer, let's write an article and 'embellish' it a little bit, then when we enter the new ice age we can say we have the scoop!
Don't you find most newspapers throw sweaty socks at the wall and hope some of them will stick eventually
