I think Warne will take 9 or 10 wickets here...

watching all morning, it is a batting wicket, the fast boys have done nothing.

As posted earlier its a one man team aka Warne.

I fear we might be battling all day Sunday and Monday to save an inning defeat as Giles will not bowl like Warne and there appears to be nothing for the fast bowlers - wonder what the odds for warne getting all 20

If Warney tires, which I think he will, we'll be in trouble....so we're looking a bit spritely this morning but a few more days and our age will show like it has all series....c'mon Aussie c'mon c'mon...

His average in the series up to today is 21.37. Yes, it's poor, but then again Gilchrist, Martin and Haydn are only averaging about 21 to 22. Bell is a very good player and I think he will be a good test player for many years.

The difference is that Gilchrist, Hayden et al have a proven test record stretching back years. Bell has a couple of decent scores against the world's worst test playing nation which have boosted his average considerably. He is a good player, but being able to flay Bangladesh round the park isn't really an indication of ability to perform against top class opposition.

Code:
Bowling O M R W
McGrath 12 2 34 0
Lee 10 1 44 0 (2nb)
Tait 5 0 33 0 (2nb)
Warne 14 2 41 4

The support bowlers (Lee & Tait) for Australia are going 5 an over (15 overs : 77 runs). Keep the faith, I'm sure we'll get a reasonable total.

You watch come time for the Aussies to bat - it will look like there is something in it for the pace men. We just have a better attack than them, especially with a rusty McGrath in the side.

Warne's wickets have been as much about his reputation, competitveness etc as spin. Vaughan, bad shot, KP bad shot. Its not turning massively.

Bell is the future of the middle order - I applud the selectors for keeping faith with him. He showed enough in that one test match to show he has the qualities.

Session to England, I make that 1 session each now

The thing about the Aussies is that they only need to win 1 from 3 sessions each day and they seem to win it well. In the last 3 tests they have never "won" a day yet they still came close to winning those games.

I am looking for 320 for 5 at close of play.

Now calm down lads, and put this game out of reach.
