You've got to give it to the fat, drug cheating, love rat. He can certainly bowl.

lets face it Vaughans had 1 good innings so far this series and Bells done f*** all

if we can't beat an ageing bunch of crocks to win the Ashes this weekend we may as well hand over the pot and start a new tournament.

having said that . . . its early doors still

If it wasn't for the pie-munching, text-stalking, bottle blonde sex fiend, Australia would have been buried weeks ago.

A genius as a bowler, but boy is he ANNOYING!

Try to look on the positive side.

We're batting first on a belter of a pitch.
We bat down no 9.
Tres was out to a blinding catch (according to commentary).
Vaughan to a stinker of a shot.
Bell just got nervous.

Need Pieterson to get rid of the nerves and build a partnership with Strauss, who seems very composed.
Freddie, Collingwood and Jones still to come.

The batting conditions should be worse from tomorrow onwards, more cloud cover, rain interuptions, etc. Be nice to win this test, but shit, I'd take a draw due to the rain, after all, if it wasn't for the weather, we'd be 3-1 now anyway.

we should and still can win, the thing that concerns me most is that so can Australia, and due to the quality of cricket we've seen in this series, and the pace of the action, without lengthly rain breaks I can't see a draw happening

Has the poor lamb been nervous for the entire series? He's now failed in 7 innings against the Aussies this summer.

His average in the series up to today is 21.37. Yes, it's poor, but then again Gilchrist, Martin and Haydn are only averaging about 21 to 22. Bell is a very good player and I think he will be a good test player for many years.

The thing I like about the Engalnd set up now is the backing they give to players. Not 2/3 bad games and you're out. It's a longer term support which breeds confidence and team spirit.

At the start of the Ashes, lot's of posters on here were saying that Pieterson shouldn't have been selected. Well, he's done OK. I can't disagree with the selection of the team as whatever they are diong has been proved to be right.

Look at Simon Jones, was always a support bowler, but has really come good in this series.

Absolutely 100%. Lets face it. Bell has been poor this series, but give him another couple of series. He has real potential. I can't add anything to what larus has said.
