Could be worse. After tomorrow there will not be a Men's cricket Test match held in England for another 342 days.
Yeah, rain breaks not a f***ing washout, which doesn't favour anyone. Hopefully there'll be enough play to get a result tomorrow.Rain breaks generally favour the fielding side as they negatively affect the concentration of the batters. We'll see, hopefully.
Looks like I was correct in saying Australia had a chance of getting this total.I'd take comfort from the fact that Australia aren't playing modern day cricket.
None at all - Bristow not Carey for example! The Ashes 2023: BBC Sport readers' team of the men's Ashes revealed

8 England 3 Aussies
'Broad should’ve announced his retirement after the match (an unprofessional distraction).'Worth a read.

Beneath the prose, a message that several England bowlers shouldn’t now be playing, Bristow not keeping and Broad should’ve announced his retirement after the match (an unprofessional distraction).
Me too. Awful day. Like a 0-0 which is called off after only 25 minutes with no shots on goal, cards, corners, f*** all….. and you still pay full price.I went today. SHITTEST day of cricket ever
Totally agree about the retirement announcement. It turned the morning session into a soppy appreciation of Broad instead of getting at the Aussies. Plus we chose to bat for 15mins so Broad could hit a boundary - all wrong in my book. Poor judgement from all concerned.Worth a read.

A bit early to make that call isn't it?. Plus we chose to bat for 15mins so Broad could hit a boundary - all wrong in my book. Poor judgement from all concerned.
If anything I thought the Broad announcement might stir the crowd and the rest of the team, this hasn’t happened yet.Worth a read.

Yes, fair point, the Aussies are attacking the total really well.A bit early to make that call isn't it?
The weather may make it a moot point, but the Aussie start currently suggests we needed all the runs we could muster.
I’m a fan of how Stokes has got this team batting , fantastic but 2 downsides are that their bowlers don’t get tired because we score so fast from so few overs and more to the point they’ve got 2 days to chase!! I don’t think any of the ‘record’ run chases at the oval are relevant because 2 days to get 380+ is doableA bit early to make that call isn't it?
