Yes, exactly what I thought ! ...the " Australia, you have been warned " was not going to end well too.I think the words were the wrong way round.
England beware.

Have you succumbed to Murdoch then Veg ?So Australia just need to knock up 150 -200 and that's 2-0 for the series and that's that. Can't see us winning this test from here and def can't see us winning the next three tests.
Can Sky knock off those awful adverts for the Ashes now please?
No, I don't have the surplus voltage on my steam turbine.. I'm sure those who have recently shelled out must be enjoying it immensely though.Have you succumbed to Murdoch then Veg ?
Sorry, but we were utter shite before Stokes and McCullum turned up, the transformation of the last year of an abject Test team has been remarkable.Utterly infuriating, I agree with everyone on this thread. Think bazball needs to go in the bin. It clearly doesn't work against the top sides like Aus. But alas, I have been quick to judge and criticise, but so far, it needs taming at the very least. We keep getting in control and then throwing it away and crucial moments, series is Aus to lose now. I hate losing to them too.
Try 175.Trying to remain optimistic and upbeat, unless there's rain out there Wincey Willis and co haven't told us about, the draw looks as unlikely as the return of Poyet, so to have any chance of winning do we really need to get them out for under 275?
Well, given that Bob commentates at that great cricket ground in the sky now, I was hoping he would send us a sign. I'm surprised W. G. Grace hasn't mentioned anything.Trying to remain optimistic and upbeat, unless there's rain out there Wincey Willis and co haven't told us about, the draw looks as unlikely as the return of Poyet, so to have any chance of winning do we really need to get them out for under 275?
I think they must have lost their 5th wicket literally the moment I read "126-4" in your post.In other news, Sri Lanka are struggling against The Netherlands. They managed to get back to a target of 214 and The Netherlands have had a couple of ducks (and a horrendous run out). Currently 126-4 with just under 30 overs to go.
You are right but in this match especially we have lost our heads. Vaughan was being interviewed at lunch & his assessment was that last year against India & New Zealand players like Bairstow hit the accelerator after he'd got his eye in & only took calculated risks, this year it was just attack at all costs.Sorry, but we were utter shite before Stokes and McCullum turned up, the transformation of the last year of an abject Test team has been remarkable.
It has unravelled here but there is no way you bin the process because of this series, this is something to learn from, and develop the approach, not bin it.
Do you not recall the previous 4 years or so of being second best in pretty much every series including losing to the Windies!
Just lost another one now. They can actually all bat a bit. Think the NRR was in the back of their minds so some silly shots were being played, but just need to relax and take the singles. Logan van Beek the hero of the super over is in now.I think they must have lost their 5th wicket literally the moment I read "126-4" in your post.
No idea how good the Dutch tail is to judge what their chances of scoring the last 87 runs are.
Murdoch hasn’t owned Sky for nearly 5 years.Have you succumbed to Murdoch then Veg ?
With only a few days between tests, I don't think he'll even consider declaring until just before tea tomorrow.Wind howling, overcast conditions, Australia a bowler down… We’ve had the much better of the conditions and we are still well behind in this match.
Be interesting to see how many the Aussies will want to be in the lead before a declaration, if at all, without a front line spinner will they be more conservative? I guess it doesn’t really matter what they set, England will have a biff and a hoik
