They are nice designs, but I prefer the simplicity of our current badge or the previous one.
Me too. With Mayfair seagull's seagull you're perilously close to this kind of thing:
Yep.. they almost look identical! lol
Of course the best way to carry out a rebranding project is have a clear brief at the start and work on from there. But not everything is this world is quite that simple and I would have thought that 20yrs in this industry would have taught you that.
Disgruntled with the current badge I felt it was worth spending some considerable time and effort working on designs to present to the club. I wanted them to see that we could have a much stronger identity than what we currently have. I love the Albion and want to do anything I can to help the club out, if it means lending my professional skills for free then I'm more than happy to do that.
I just find your negative attitude to this quite sad. Being a fellow designer wouldn't it be more constructive for you to bring some of your designs to the table and then for the debate to continue from there.
Your client list doesn't impress me. I've worked for HMV, Sky, FIFA World Cup 2006 and Visa but I don't want to brag.
I challenge you to post your recommendations for a new badge on this forum; saying we haven't got a brief is a cop out. Let's be friend's either way.. we all want the same thing; a badge we can all be proud of be it as a tattoo or on our shirts.
Just playing devil's advocate because I really like B and Mayfair sounds a top bloke. But isn't this all incidental if the club won't listen to him or any of us regarding the new badge e.g. they've selected a company to do this and with the best will in the world, they're not going to listen to anyone else's ideas if they're being contracted to do the work. I wish we could have B, so that's put the Kybosh on that happening I'm afraid.....
I would love to think that fan power could persuade the club to listen, after all a football club without its fans is nothing.
The branding of the stadium need not effect the club's badge and there's no reason why the architects cannot work with us on this, to produce something we can all be proud of.
Me too. With Mayfair seagull's seagull you're perilously close to this kind of thing:
Exactly. The fans are integral to this Club, much more so than 90% of others.
Please consider the designs in this thread Mr Bloom.
Please tell me why it's SO important to have a Brighton fan design the new badge...
That's not what he is saying is it? I assumed he meant that Albion fans should have a say in the choice of logo rather than be responsible for creating it...
Seriously, you prefer the pregnant one?
