Presumably the fans using these figures as a stick to beat Poyet with in terms of his playing budget v non promotion will do the same with Oscar Garcia, who, as we know, enjoyed a slight increase on playing budget compared to last season.

The reality of the situation is that, in almost 90 per cent of cases, teams finish in the division in roughly the same place they would if the table was ranked on playing budget. Ours may have increased, but it is still not near the top end. Certainly not, I would imagine, in the top six. Poyet over-achieved significantly. Oscar will, I imagine, do the same - albeit perhaps not as drastic an over-achievement as finishing fourth with a mid table budget.

This is key and everyone keeps ignoring it when looking back on his reign.

Being insolvent means that you cannot pay your debts as they fall due. The Albion owe their money in the main to TB, and he doesn't want it back, so we're not in danger of insolvency, but before you go to bed each night EVERY Albion fan should pray (even atheists like me) that Uncle Tony doesn't fall under a bus or similar.

Yes we are very lucky to have TB here and we should all be greatful.
Not sure you can answer this yet but is it likely the club tried to put as much debt as possible on to this set of accounts in order to make it easier next year to meet the FFP figures? Things like Ulloa paying the full fee up front ect so its not spread over into the following years accounts.

So, we've increased the playing budget this season, have admitted to bringing some things into last season's budget to ease the pressure on this season, are supposedly well on the way to meeting targets this season while offering 1.1m for grabban, 1m for Clayton, are in the press today talking about backing Garcia in the loan market.

Given all this, is it still unreasonable to be disappointed with the transfer window? Yes, large losses, but on target this season and still willing to spend big suggests money is there?

Bottom line is we will probably never have as good a chance as we did last year of going up. And we royally ****ed up from the clackers to the bottle jobs on the pitch to the manager.

Rubbish. We will get another opportunity to go up, could still even have a crack at it this season. The clackers had nothing to do with the Palace defeat, the responsibility lies with the players and management.

We are establishing ourselves as a top half of championship side now. We should always be there or thereabouts for the playoffs in my opinion. If and it is a BIG if, the sanctions for FFP failure are strict and enforced we will be in a decent position to compete at the upper end of the division for some time to come.

It took both Cardiff and Swansea several attempts before they finally achieved promotion and to expect us to do it any quicker is pretty naive.

We did have a great chance last year, and we blew it, but I doubt it will be the last opportunity we get.

No, see, he targeted top six and got top six, ergo he didn't over perform. (@ people making that argument, not you)

My favourite is people saying "with that squad we SHOULD'VE gone up" forgetting that Gus was a HUGE part of the reason players like Adam El Abd and Ashley Barnes were playing as well as they were.

We didn't go up because of two moments of brilliant from Zaha, and that we had a slightly wrong mentality going into the home leg. Nothing more, nothing less. People do forget that apart from those 2 moments it was a very even game, we weren't exactly battered by any stretch of the imagination.

Or that he wasn't bothered towards the end of the season because he knew he was going, ignoring the brilliant run we went on towards the end of the season...

Although the losses announced are horrible (only for Tony Bloom though, God bless him), it seems we are on course to reduce them this financial year to £8 million...(again, God bless Tony Bloom).

I am sure that the FFP rules will require in future years for the £8 million loss to be reduced further........which, if successful, will be a very good thing for football....(and of course our saviour Tony Bloom).

With the right people running our club, I think the future is bright.

I am also far from convinced that the the Premier League is a good place to be. Yes.....they receive significant sums of money from TV. But what is the point of that....? It seems to me, that all it does is enable them to pay more money for average players, who can maybe win 4-5 games a season against their equally 'poor' rivals in the bottom half of the league table. Then.....having maintained their oh so precious Premier League place........they can go through all the same s**t again. I don't understand why ? None of those clubs are 'rolling' in money when they get relegated. The parachute payments are largely swallowed up paying overpaid, ageing premier players, still on their books. These players weren't good enough to keep them in the Premier League in the first place....yet still they have to be paid.

No....I,m happier with our club 'trying' to get to the Premier League.....but thankful we haven't actually made it.

So much this. During the "turmoil" we beat Palace 3-0, obliterated Blackpool and pretty much treated the Wolves game as a attacking training exercise.

And because Poyet bottled it. Had he fielded a more attacking line-up I think we'd have beaten Palace that day who were there for the taking.

It has been said that Diego Poyet knew of Gus' sacking before the TV show. I assume there was a tweet, but I haven't seen it.

He tweeted "no more trips to the Amex then" a short while before half time in the match Gus was studio guesting for the beeb. I imagine it would have been screen grabbed by someone in the (subsequent) circumstances.

Not responsible for two lapses in concentration by Bridge and Greer. Also, had Speroni not tipped Barnes' shot onto the bar we would probably be looking back saying he got in spot on.

Just one of those games.

I thought your LAST admin was for a figure of £31 million?

The hedge fund that put Palace into admin were owed about £4.5 mill by the owner S.Jordon.

Back in the 90s I had a long chat with Ron Noads the then Palace chairman...and one thing he said really struck a cord "if fans think the money they pay at the gate makes any dent in the clubs finances they a sadly mistaken" and went on to say whether 30000 or 10000 the difference was only a few hundred pounds and that T.V is the money maker!!!

Sadly that seems to be true.

The key to successful business model is diversification what other revenue streams can the club tap into ....need to make more of the stadium!

I reckon that plan for a hotel will go ahead eventually. Think it is a good idea.

I think there's a tiny element of post event wisdom in that we hammered them in March with an enforced by unavailability attacking line up where the wingers gave Palace nightmares. Besides that the fact remains that we should have been a couple up by half time in the away leg, we were all over them. If Hammond's header had gone in, if my granny had balls etc etc. I was more annoyed by Gus straight after the game then by anything he did before or during. Possibly even since as well.
