I would buy a pie and a pint at half time if I could actually get served and realistically consume the goods in the 15 min break. Service is so slow I don't bother. Must be 1000's like me per game, so how much revenue on that alone are we losing?!

Ooo, I'd say about £14.7m.

So when Poyet said he wasn't being backed last season with a budget, what he actually meant was an incrwase of £6.1m on the previous season wasn't enough for him?

I would like to see the detailed accounts. I heavily suspect that they have made this look at bad as possible with a lot of write offs going through.

Expect big bounce back next year......

Blimey. This makes me even more determined to renew my season ticket for as long as I can. I am completely behind the club with the FFP stand. I know we all want instant results but we can't keep expecting TB to be shelling out millions each season. I am struggling to understand how this guy can be so generous. But if we are losing this much, the mind boggles over what the likes of Forest and Leicester are losing

I'm really interested as to how this could have happened? It has to be training ground costs right?

Puts the transfer window dealings into perspective, admittedly.

As expected really. We spent a lot on transfers last season, that may well explain the rise. This season we havent spent much and have raked in some more income, so a drop next season on this front is expected.

This was also only the start of Paul Barbers work, the next financial year will show how he is really doing with his job. Also shows that had we have gone up, we would have almost certainly have been in the black.

Also shows the people moaning about the lack of transfer activity why we didnt splash out.

It also shows that QPR, Forest, Leicester etc are screwed.

This news clearly been published now for yet another season ticket price hike. Not that I'm blaming the Club or whatever but simply to say that football is absolutely knackered at the top level and this kind of £"!$ makes me want to jack it all in and watch a sport thats not the plaything of billionaires.

What's the point of trying to compete when you can't even break even despite having a packed stadium every week charging the highest prices in the league.

Whilst I can afford it and will pay it, I'm sure even a jump of £10 a month will make it more difficult for themselves to justify and that's even die hard fans. I know my dad will struggle. Can see attendances dropping significantly next season.

Actually we'd have still registered the same loses for the season in question but I get where you're coming from.

yeah but i'm sure a chunk of that would be moving from league 1 to championship wages and the increase in transfer costs of players at a higher level

The championship is a ticking time bomb, most clubs will have debts of £10 mill plus per year.

Frightening.
