"Yesterday Trump announced he's nominating Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense. Hegseth's a prominent Fox News personality & veterans advocate, but also has strong ties to the Christian far right that I've not seen fully exposed yet...

Past caring TBH.

America is about to descend into a hell of its own choosing, I feel sorry for the sensible ones but it needs to live through what the madness entails to see a way out of it. We’ll suffer too, unfortunately, but we at least have the option of closer ties with Europe (screw the headbangers and their failed Brexit project). Let them tear down their public health systems. Let them rip up their education infrastructure. Maybe they’ll learn the lessons that sticking weirdos in charge leads to bad outcomes on things.

Let’s see how their firm belief that they’re the greatest nation on earth and should be immune from global forces impacting their fuel prices holds up after having the lunatics smash up the asylum. Maybe they’ll learn, or maybe they’re f***ed.
