And also with parents. In terms of "who knows most about educating a child", both teachers and parents are surely ahead of the person in Whitehall.I would say that all of these are best worked out in conjunction with educators rather than politicians or public servants.
Who is this man with zero executive or management experience?
A. Just another fanatical MAGA supporter?
B. A fox news co host?
C. The proposed head of the worlds most powerful militarily?
D. All of the Above?
It’s the person in parliament that I am worried about. The false scare claims around gender and trans issues being taught or talked about in schools from the Tories, Refrom and right wing media politicised education to an unacceptable level. Perhaps an independent regulator should lead on this with input from parent groups, pedagogy academics and teaching unions. Going back to the main point, this might be a saving to the tax payer if the DoE and Secretary of State for Education were taken out of the process. And also with parents. False scare claims? On the last couple of days it has come out that over 100 local authorities are asking parents to fill in what gender their children identify with, on their infant school applications. They are talking about three and four year olds here. The children may identify as a boy or a girl (or a teddy bear or a pony or Thomas the Tank Engine, none of which had an available box to tick). It’s the person in parliament that I am worried about. To me that's a bit like saying - "we amputated 3 of his limbs but he's still alive, so..."?He does have form when it comes to finding efficiency at Twitter - sacked how many people? The company didn't collapse though, which suggests they weren't doing anything useful.
Strong Greg Succession vibes. On a slightly lighter note I saw an article on line this morning about Agent Orange's youngest son, Barron. Is it just me or does anyone else look at the name Barron Trump and think there is a "von" missing somewhere?

Taking away term limits, is it?

Quite right, those bloody Chagosians don't deserve their island back.
Stolen from them fair and square it was.
Ah interesting, I'll be honest this morning was the first I heard of it. Thanks for the info. What Starmer is proposing is nothing to do with giving the Chagossians their islands back. What Starmer is proposing is that the UK will withdraw as their colonial overlords, if you like, and will instead make Mauritius the colonial overlords in our place. Mauritius being not much more than a thousand miles away from the islands.
The Chagossian people haven't been consulted.
Mostly sleeping homeless or in temporary accommodation around Gatwick / CrawleyAh interesting, I'll be honest this morning was the first I heard of it. Thanks for the info.
Are the Chagosians still around, they were treated pretty badly in Mauritius from what I recall.
Is that true? Lots ended up over there?Mostly sleeping homeless or in temporary accommodation around Gatwick / Crawley
