All that is depressing on at least two levels. First, when I'm actually reading what these people are saying in a matter of fact way, and then when I'm considering that some or all of it may not actually be real.

It was real.

And shock - they all have weird coloured hair and are difficult to tell if they’re trying to be a man or a women. Attention seekers with mental illness and camera phones don’t go well!
You appear to be quite an unpleasant individual.

Just a thought this morning, with so many Anti Trump people in the mainstream media/arts, Kimmel, De Niro, Clooney, SNL etc, now, with his second clear mandate from the US electorate, will he go after these people?
The creators of South Park already did this 20 years ago with the movie 'Team America: World Police'.

On NSC for over two decades...

It was real.

That wasn't in the @JetsetJimbo post I quoted, but yes, definitely very depressing to see. :(

These next four years are going to be a wild time for fans of schadenfreude.

It's an interesting conundrum. In a world with deep-fakes and fake news and bots and AI etc etc. it's almost certainly the case that some of the things we're presented with aren't real.

In this instance an initial response of "perhaps it isn't real" was brushed aside with a 10 second Google search but that won't always be so, I fear. Not to mention there'll be people out there who have that "it's fake" thought and refute any evidence to the contrary regardless because it doesn't fit with their worldview.

Basically - truth is dead and as a species we're probably f***ed.

The President elect has weird colour hair and wears thick orange makeup.
Excellent point well made!

Trumpies calling out others for their appearance 🤭
Am now scrabbling around to find The List of Normal Hair Colours and The Woke Agenda to ensure I can comply with both.

Just factual and not woke as f*** mate

Nah I’m not but thanks for the usual digs you lot have when someone has an opposite view. Notice I’ve not attacked your views but you do that to me when anything goes against your narratives. People have had enough of it and it’s showing. Protect women and wake up.

Thanks for improving my mood! :ROFLMAO:

Though having grown up with the internet I've always been a bit cynical about the accuracy of any content that it houses. Fortunately I can turn off my screen any time I like and go for a run on the Downs, a dose of actual reality is quite soothing.

At 78, grey or white is ok not straw coloured yellow.
Do you need to adjust your skin tone for your make up too 😉😂

Quite and pretending you’re not bald by back combing your back hair over your head then using enough product to single handedly nuke the entire ozone, I would suggest, is a bit of a tell on your mental acuity, vanity and easily breakable ego.

Please stop going on about skin colour. It doesn’t matter in this day and age. Take your racism elsewhere - it’s not welcome here.
Skin tone - make up. Have a look in Boots sometime. Maybelline have a great range.

And you think you can speak on behalf of women? 😂

Labour's popular vote in 2024 was actually down on the 2019 results. Over half a million more people voted for Corbyn's Labour party than did for Starmer's. However the Tory popular vote was down by over 7 million. The scale of the win was due to the Tory collapse and Labour's astute targetting of vulnerable seats rather than a great appetite for Starmer. Labour's issue won't necessarily be holding their own vote, but whether the electorate continue their distaste for their opponents.

What you say is correct, but not only do the electorate have to keep wondering what the Conservatives are smoking, they still have to come out and vote.

At our most recent election there was widespread agreement that we needed to remove the Conservatives from office. Should we all still feel poor at the point of this next election, there will be resignation/frustration on the part of swing voters, who may well look at “a third way” or simply not bother voting.

I could even be among them, though my “third way” would be the Lib Dems rather than Reform or the current Conservative Party. If the Lib Dems campaign for rejoining a Customs Union with the EU, and Labour don’t next time around, I’ll be switching my vote.

This current implementation of Brexit has cut off our nose to spite our face. We’ve hamstrung every UK business that exports outside our borders, and Labour seem determined to work around it without talking about it, rather than dealing with it.
