Is RFK Jnr no longer a Democrat?
Independent for the past while. Is RFK Jnr no longer a Democrat?
From the outside, they seem pretty good at getting behind the leader, it was only the last couple of weeks we saw cracks in biden support. At some point, Democrat voters will need to decide whether it's more important to have their own personal choice lead the party ....or to get behind whoever their party selects, and beat Trump.

But could they still have time to entice him back?Independent for the past while.

Trump vs Kennedy would be pure box office.

A younger white heterosexual man would be better - anything else (woman, gay, black/brown) Trump would hoover up the votes of every non-woke American.Above all else, the person most likely to beat Trump is the right candidate. If that means an old white heterosexual man, then so must be it.
I think America deserves a bit better than being run by members of the same family. It's one of the reasons Trump as a political outsider is so popular.A very good decision by Biden - said weeks and weeks ago, he should pull out. (In fact said way back in 2022, that he shouldn’t run again). Just rather annoyed that he left it so late to step aside. I agree at the moment, KH is the most available candidate and Biden has endorsed her as such - but the truth is, the Dems never would have agreed to her being on top of the ticket at the start of this campaign.
There are several potential Senators including Mark Kelly, who could claim the swing vote needed to beat Trump. However there are also many pissed off Biden supporters who feel that Biden was ‘edged out’ by ranking members- they will be even more pissed off if the leaders of the Dems then pass over Harris - the first Black women candidate in American history.
I don’t think KH is the best candidate on a number of levels, as @peterward says, Michele Obama would be a stronger Black woman candidate - I’m not sure America is ready for either of them though - but realistically she might be all they have.
Time is against whoever steps up as an alternative to a Harris candidacy and that’s a problem.
America a whole ain't very progressive. Only a younger white heterosexual man can beat the fash...A younger white heterosexual man would be better - anything else (woman, gay, black/brown) Trump would hoover up the votes of every non-woke American.
................and there's MILLIONS of them!
Good to see you back posting this evening, i was a little worried about you if truth be told, for you to be off here for two days was a little concerningA very good decision by Biden - said weeks and weeks ago, he should pull out. Exactly.America a whole ain't very progressive. Only a younger white heterosexual man can beat the fash...
Trump might haemorrhage some BAME voters, but would also hoover up every non-woke voter. In that scenario, Trump wins hands down.Thinking a bit more on this.... it could be a masterstroke. If the Obama's get behind KH and actively campaign for her Barack and Michelle could make Trump start to haemorrhage BAME voters. It becomes a choice between a bitter and hateful old man or the future of the USA.
Imo there’s no viable Democratic possibility.
No one of any real seriousness would want to step up against Trump at this stage - a week after an assassination attempt, a massively galvanized Republican Party and voters, weeks after the collapse of Biden and to some extent, the Democratic Party since the debate.
Awful polls for Harris over the past 3.5 years. The best chance the Dems had realistically was RFK Jr, but he’s long out, unless they entice him back in.
So it’s an almost guaranteed forfeit by putting Harris out there.
Plead for RFK to join the ranks.
A Hail-Mary play to get Michelle Obama in the game.
Will these non-woke voters know what a pencil and an X is though and, are they registered to vote ?Trump might haemorrhage some BAME voters, but would also hoover up every non-woke voter. In that scenario, Trump wins hands down.
