"You'll never walk alone"

yes even i remember belting out this 'rodgers and hammerstein' hit with my blue and white scarf aloft in the seventies.
only sung at liverpool and celtic games, and school plays now.

You were safer in that end. what game was it? i remember the 2-0 win where the locals warmly 'congratulated' us and i never went in the away end again there.

i was in the home end when gary Williams scored a last min winner in front of us. you could hear a pin drop and the 3 of us had to bottle that cheer until we gotback to Newcastle. Classic!

i was at that game....do you remember being chased outsidethe ground by about 10 huge skinheads?

Only time I ver feared for my life

Fearless by Pink Floyd on the meddle album has liverpool fans singing it old style

Build a Bonfire... :)

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the LORD.

we're the north stand,
we're the north stand,
we're the borth stand brighton boys!

(repeat for each stand)

i remember everyone cheering when just 2 or 3 people in the South stand did it..

<name of mamanger>'s blue and white army
clap clap clap clap

At number one, was Peter Ward....

.....we all live in a Wardy wonderland

I think all of those have been sung since the Goldstone days, you really should get yourself down to a game sometime

when we played Newcastle in 78, I remember joining into (sung to the tune of

when the boat comes in) There will be a kicking, there will be a kicking, there will

be a kicking, when the gates open.

I was only 12 at the time, it was only a few years later that I appreciated

A) The North Stand threatening mad Geordies

B)The humour involved in changing the words to what is a working class

Geordie song

.

I havent heard "who's the wanker in the black" for years.

Time referees went back to dressing like PE teachers.

NOGAN!

Also who can remember when we once sang "Abide with me" (although not technically AT the Goldstone.) Wonder if we'll ever have a reason to sing that one again? :dunce:
