Which of our brave boys do you want to see playing against the Addicks? My experimental team would recognise that attack is indeed the best form of defence, especially with our defence, thus:

1. Kuipers

2. Bennett
5. Tunnicliffe
6. Elphick
3. McLeod

7. Davies
4. Crofts
11. Cox

8. Murray
9. Forster
10. Dickinson

My formation is based on the Dutch 'Total Football' theory and I'd play a rush goalkeeper if it were allowed. We'd be AWESOME in attack, and shit at the back.....but would it really notice.....come on GUS do it:thumbsup:

For me the dilemma is up front.

Murray was dropped against wycombe to prevent him being suspended, but he had a dip of form v leeds and norwich, was that because he was dropped and lost momentum? He has the second best scoring rate (very closely behind Forster), you don't want to drop someone like that, right?

Do we want to risk dropping Dickinson who bagged a brace on Saturday, and thus will have some confidence and momentum (I've seen his reviews and the people I expect it from slated his performance, and I expect those comments to be repeated here, but, he was in position to score two goals, and the confidence that will give him may spur him on to a better performance).

Forster, again, do we want to ruin his momentum? He is much more experienced and able to pick up again rather than relying so heavily on momentum and confidence, so perhaps is more tolerant of being given a game off. Plus he's back from injury, is older and the 3 games in a week may not be advisable.

Looking at it like that, it seems the smart thing would be to play dickinson and murray, but that doesn't often lead to greatness for us, they haven't shown a great ability together, so wouldn't be wise.

Well, I'm sure GP will make up his own mind.......looking at some of the team selections above, I'm rather glad about that!

...and is Kuipers fit again, then? If not, time to give Pelling the chance to step up to the mark like Sully did last season.

dicko is on 4 yellow cards too though so can we risk losing him for the next game then again some on here would say it wouldnt make a differnce if he were on the pitch or not though.

Having 3 strikers that the majority of posters all want to squeeze into the starting line-up is a nice problem to have.
I'd love Forster and Dickinson to be told in advance that they are both going to get half a game assuming there are no injuries mid match. That way Fozzie can give it everything in the first half and can be taken off to rest his old legs.....and Dickinson is left in no doubt that even a couple of goals doesn't guarantee his place.

I actually think El-Abd has been the only decent defender in the last couple of games so I don't see him being dropped. So maybe he should play in the middle:

Kuipers

RB: Hoyte
CB: Tunnicliffe
CB: El Abd
LB: Wright/McNulty

RM: Bennett
CM: Dicker
CM: Crofts
LM: Cox

CF: Forster
CF: Murray
