What would make a big difference is if we could get a left back to play at left back and then allow Adam El Abd to play just infront of the back four to break their attacks up. Thus relieving the pressure on the central defenders and Smith. We will then have to worry about getting the ball forward to the strikers.

I think he would just get in the way.
