I'd like to see a near-to-proper 442 with Dobbie just behind CMS. That's where we'll see the best of him.

Even Capello played a modified 4-4-2.

This is more like a classic 4-3-3 though. I could see the Albion playing something like this. There does not seem to be much wrong with it although I don't actually like it. Dobbie has got the mobility to play the Gerrard role. But Vicente has ! (PS: I am not quite sure the diagram is quite right: there is a bloody great hole where Walcott should be)

Crouch = Macca
Roonie = Barnes
Gerrard = Vicente (or Orlandi or Dobbie)
Walcott = Buckley
Milner = Hammond, or Crofts
Carrick = Bridcutt

Not my choice though. Adn Roonie does not play like that for Man United.
