The powers that be love people blaming immigration for inequality, because it's a problem that can't go away - especially in a capitalist society which NEEDS it.

The blokes a model citizen. Hard working, family man and even a man of faith. But the rags love to fuel xenophobia in us, even though this family won't cost us personally a penny in our lifetimes.

The reality is that it's the wealthy ruling classes who are responsible for our struggles, the growing inequality. The richest 1000 people in Britain increased their personal wealth by a record breaking £65 billion last year! This absolutely dwarfs the amount of cuts being made to welfare and other vital public services.

The top 1% is roughly 290,000 people earning over 160,000 p.a. and they pay 30% of all income tax, which despite the 50% tax rate cut to 45% is still a higher proportion than under Labour’s stewardship.

Those earning 1m or more pay 11% of all tax.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/...third-of-all-income-tax-despite-rate-cut.html

Those contributing their fair share should be cherished not castigated, and certainly not by those who contribute f*** all.

This gentlemen may well be a “model” citizen to you but if he is a fully qualified electrician earning less than 22K it says a lot about how depressed the labour market has become by a uncontrolled influx of workers depressing the pay rates of British workers. Maybe this is one of the factors in why the richest 1000 can continue to make so much money……………..they can employ more and pay less.

Even millionaire tories like Ed knows it.

Being a BINNER and SPONGER is something many born Brits do very well. So it is just a stick to beat the " foreigners " with.

They have come into this country and are taking £75,000 a year out of our economy. Kick them out. End of.

that may be so, but if you punish them for it all you are creating is 15 kids in poverty who will just go on to make the same mistakes, thus the problem gets worse

Not if they all just **** off where they came from. Then we can spend the money on our own in poverty.

Creaky you worry me sometimes.

You on glue mate?

It's all just a method of public spending.

Some of that £75,000 will go to the landlord who in turn will spend it.
Some will go on food and clothes - increasing employment in shops and farms - workers in those will in turn spend.
Some will go on luxuries - unfortunately most of those are imported but there will still be a proportion going to shops.
. . . . and so on.

The largest proportion of that £75K will remain in the UK economy.

Better maybe if the initial amount was injected into the economy in other ways but to say that £75K has been taken out of the economy as the original poster did is simply wrong - quite the reverse.

Of course some of it will stay in the economy. My point is when they got to the airport they should have been asked who did all the children belong to? They're are all yours? And how much do you earn a year? £22,000? Nope. We have our own electricians thanks. Back you go.

If it's going to stay in the economy why not give it to a struggling young working couple who are trying to get on the housing ladder and cannot afford to have even one child? Don't care if they're from England or immigrants, just somebody who really needs it to get on in the world. I am normally a bit of a lefty and embrace immigration but handing over 75k a year to some couple who clearly thought they would get on the gravy train if they kept shitting out kids is a step too far.
