Last time I was in Angelic Hell it took about three hours. An hour for the tatts, and about twice that for the lad to go up on the roof and have a smoke. Girl that was with me was having a lizard done on the base of her spine. She assumed the position and for most of the show there was about a dozen bikers peering through the glass having a fine old time

I never knew you had any tattoos Mr. Hark.

Which one of the artists at Angelic Hell did yours? Between the 5 of mine, all three of the regulars have worked on me.

Well, you never ASKED, Mr Frutos.

Last visit was a long time ago. 10 years maybe. The guy's probably no longer there. Tho seem to recall he WAS a dead ringer for former Ipswich Town and England defender Kevin Beattie. Fact.

Tattoos are, I feel, definitely the way forward.

When I was a young drunken sailor in Gib for the first time in 1980, I had "Made in Brighton" done at the top of my right arm.
It is truly awful & I do nothing but regret this scar on my skin every time I notice it.
Tattoo's are f***ing awful, but if you really must, then have it done out of sight if you get my drift. (I have one there too......yes, pissed again).

One of mine (I have a few), is a Union Jack with a lion on it with banner underneath saying 'England'. Done at Niagara Falls but for all the Americans who thought I was Australian/Scottish/French !

Tattoos are fine as long as they are fairly discreet, meaning they can be covered, ones on the neck and hands I would draw a big line at though.

I'm guessing it's quite addictive too. One minute you get a discreet little "mum and dad" done then before long you end up looking like you've fallen asleep on the Beano.

If you want to pay an absolute fortune. Ned was quoted £200 for the Seagull crest. He went across the road to Blue Dragon and got it done for £60.

I presume Ned has no allegiance to a Yorkshire team then Yorkie? Or is he doing a Vinnie Jones and collecting club badge tattoos?

My one advice on tattoos would be to go for something that is timeless rather than something like Celtic Bands that are very 1990s (if that makes sense!)

Coincidentally 'Dennis the Menace' is the only tattoo I've ever seriously considered having done.

He followed the results of Sheff Wed and went a few times with his mates. When we first married he still went occasionally and when we got promoted he even went in the Kop end whilst I went in Leppings Lane, but he realised he was actually enjoying our matches more and discovered that he'd fallen in love with Brighton and Hove Albion. He really cared about what happened to us - even to the extent of standing for election for the Seagulls Party.

The other tattoo I had done 20 years ago is old school and in no way connected to football so there is no question of me doing a "Vinnie" :)

I think all tattoos do have a sell by date to them - personally im not a fan of them, especially after seeing 80 year old frail men with love and hate on their knuckles & naked ladies on their arms!! I just dont think theyre very tasteful - and dont get me started on the coloured ones!!!

How about MENTAL across you're forehead, you could grow a fringe if you wanted to cover it up.

OR LOVE and HATE on you're knuckles is always a popular one.

OR a naked lady on your bicep is quite a classy option.

Good luck with whatever you decide.:):jester:
