Tattoo - what to have...?

Go and see Scrow and Wurzel at Gunpoint and I can assure you the seagull will NOT look like a fat pigeon as they are by far the most talented tattoo artists around. I had some tribal work done on my arm just over a week ago from them and it is class! BTW I personally don't think gettin a tattoo coz all your work mates are gonna get one is the best idea as I think it should be your own decision to get one in the first place. Tattoos should be a personal thing and it always helps to have some kinda significance to it. My tribal tattoo represents my three children and wife, but an observer couldn't tell as they have been subtley incorperated into the tribal design of the tattoo!
Make sure you are happy with your final decision, coz once you got it, you got it. (I know laser removal is available BUT its a costly price to pay for the sake of a pub bet!)

Good luck!

Superphil, that is excellent, the only BHA tattoo to have is the old round badge and that is a perfect reproduction of it you've got there.

I've often considered getting that badge on my arm, but now glad I never did and my gf prefers a tatt-free body. As people on here have said Bry, think hard about it and certainly don't do it just because other people at work are! That is totally the wrong reason for marking your body for life. If you do get it done I personally would avoid anything on the upper body.

Also to consider: I am not sure if this would apply but you used not to be able to give blood or treat a bleeding patient within acertain time period of getting tattoos. This may affect you administering first aid at work for a time. That is just a thought, may not apply at all.

No fat pigeon here on mine, but bloody difficult to take a picture of your own tattoo, as I just found out!

Phil...just to make sure here...we're not looking at a photo of your buttocks, are we?
:p

Bry- how about a nice, traditional "LOVE" and "HATE" across your knuckles? Followed by a bird between your thumb and forefinger. Always classy, and you'll never be short of friends amongst the prison community...

I reckon HATE and HATE across the knuckles and along with your suggestion perhaps some tears on the cheek?

You'd also not be short of friends in the prison community if you went for old lag favourite: "The sweetest woman I ever kissed belonged to another man...my mother." Failing that there's always Pompey dots, tears below the eye, or 'ACAB' (i'll let Edna tell you what that one stands for!)

I guess really as a first timer you want something subtle, and quite possibly with an element of class, in relative terms of course!

perhaps a variation on this theme ?

And according to the article he is 32 and lives at home. Very together chap.

Don't do it Bry! Do one in marker pen to get yourself out of the bet though - at least it'll wash off - eventually
