Really baffled by this. Why on earth have these two games been made all ticket? What a complete and utter joke that is.

Can't see us selling more than 300 for either of them, many many more would pay on the day.

Terrible decision.

300?

We filled Swindon last season, and the away end at Wycombe is small for the traditionally well attended 28th December game.

Swindon was pay on the day last season though hence the good away following. Can't see too many people bothering with Wycombe with the trains (meant to be) dodgy that day and with it now being made all ticket.

Think about it, right now all teams are struggling to make ends meet, if you know how many are coming to a game you can cut your cloth accordingly. No point overdoing it on the staffing levels, so make it all ticket, and you know exactly what to cater for. With it being the Xmus period, it probably helps with regards to overtime payments and stuff too.

Swindon have a small seating area in the main stand and a larger overspill area on one end.

They're not going to waste time opening and staffing the open end if there are only enough fans to fill the smaller bit are they? If we were to sell out they'd probably open it, but no point in putting the tickets on sale until they have some idea of how many will travel.

Makes perfect sense to me, even though it's Swindon.

all ticket for both these games are stupid imo. pay on day and we would take around 600 wycombe and 1000 swindon. then with our recent record with swindon it may be on police advice

Sorry pups I think it's because the HPAC are back out of retirement, and the OB are trying to restrict our activities, especially now that Peacehaven Pete has had the Mondeo serviced and Uncle Monty has had the restraining order from his Ex-Missus rescinded.

Suffice to say, and this is strictly for those ITK, that we will be in training for the Afrikaans next summer, and it starts at Swindon and Wycombe. Scratchcard has perfected his reverse wedgie, and Professor Plums can now hang a nail from 20 feet.

A few more warm ups and we'll be unleashed like the firestorm of Dresden in 1945, they won't know what be hitting them, especially from Uncle Monty's arse after a few cans of Castle.

God Bless the Queen Mother.

LP - I have heard from a little dickie bird that Harry the Dog and his sons Pete the Puppy and Wally the Whelp are up for this.

Great to hear that Algenon the Chef and Barry The Brick are out of the Scubs and itching for a slap and tickle

God Bless Princess Margaret

Most of our games start of as 'all ticket' then end up as pay on the gate. it's an irritation but, after all, we are just paying customers and when was the last time you heard of a football club needing to worry about finance?

It's an added pain for those that may want tickets through the post.

Me + three proberbly wont bother now. Are Wiltshire police really that concerned about a thousand or so Brighton fans? Seems a little over the top to me.

They're wildly over the top in general. They escourted the Millwall fans directly from the train station to the County Ground last season, and insisted the pubs in the town centre close during saturday.... No, really. They treated Leeds with similar disrespect, and of course Bristol Rovers.

Brighton fans don't have a problem with Swindon, we feel nothing either way for them. They, however, don't like us very much.... Why we need to be punished by the police with an all ticket match, I don't know.

let's get this straight then, 4 apparently avid Albion fans were going to go, but now that you have to buy a ticket in advance you can't be bothered. Forgive me for saying this, but that is just pathetic. No-one comes to Withdean without a ticket, likewise with many grounds in this division, and many more in the leagues above. What exactly is peoples problems with buying tickets for a game? Are you also going to boycott Falmer for the same reason, even though you have to buy tickets in advance for our current home games, and have had to for 10 years.

You don't have to be in a membership scheme to get tickets for the Withdean, that's the difference. I'm not a member of any of these schemes, so technically I'm not eligible to buy one. Which is beyond the joke, but classic Brighton and Hove Albion. Just how things work out, but hopefully the club will let common sense rule and let any old tom, dick or harry buy a ticket. There is NO need for the membership schemes to have the monopoly on tickets. Everyone should be able to buy tickets, it's not a priority match.
