The problem with Darren Bent is he just doesn't look like an England player...would you really be happy with him leading the line in the World Cup?

Im not saying I would...but at least he has scored goals in the Premier League this year, unlike AJ the diver, and has been free from injury. He certainly deserves to be on standby.

The decision makes total sense....King still on crutches and weeks away from fitness...Campbell, been there and done it and ALWAYS plays well in finals...

if they both fit, I would agree that King should go...but he isn't, so Campbell is the next best choice

Exactly. He's been far better than Jonhson OR Defoe, and he's been fit all season unlike almst all the rest of our strikers.

agree that he should be ahead of Johnson, but he is a million miles away from being an International striker

Ledley King is injured. Sol Campbell is not.

If you are gonna spout shit about Sven being a twat it's probably best you get some facts right.

I would rather take a punt on King than Campbell. My worry is I think Sven will start with Campbell. Also Sven constantly tries out loads of players and then plumps for a player who has no Prem experience.

You cant judge him off 20 minute cameos where he ends up playing anywhere.

That may be the case, although I dont think anyone can judge yet.

However, on form he is certainly better than AJ, and has played the whole season. He also offers more of a physical presence in the air than AJ for example and can lead the line on his own better, so would have complemented the other strikers better if he did have to play.

Im not sure that Sven will start with Campbell anyway, Terry would be the favourite I assume.

He cant take too many crocked players, Kings injury will have kept him out for a month, and even if Sol isnt quite as good as he was, at centre back we have enough strength in depth not to worry as much about injuries there.

problem being that I can't really argue because after Rooney and Owen (maybe Crouch just because of size), our second string strikers are very very average...don't really think it matters which of them you take, we aint winning the world cup if they play.

I would agree with that, and its whay I think that given the injury problems up front, he is better off using a 451 and trying to make use of our talent there instead.

Must admit it's utterly baffling that Andy Johnson is on standby.

I don't have a problem with Campbell over King. King's injured so why would you risk taking hi when we have plenty of decent options in that part of the pitch. It'ds not like upfront where we have Owen and Rooney and after that...Andy f***ing Johnson.

I'm not entirely sure I'm happy with Jenas either? What does he bring to the squad?

Why is he a twat through? bringing in Walcott instead of Defoe or Harewood? To me that is a brave discision by Sven.
f*** off! I was talking to Seagullible about Theo Wallcott, and Theo Wallcott ain't no Wayne Rooney. He is turning out another Jame Vaughan, overated.

Walcott is to young.

You do talk shit. James Vaughan was never really rated, he scored one goal and practically since then he has been out with a knee injury. I dont remember people raving about him.

Walcott is completely different, while i dont think he should be in the squad, he was a regular in Southamptons team, scoring the odd goal.

King has got a fractured ankle, presumably this on medical advice as King has always been in the squad.

I can't see any reason for SWP to be in the squad and Bent was pony when he was given his chance.

Hargreaves suffers with fans due to the fact that he plays abroad and has never played in this country. He has won just about every honour with Bayern and learnt his football away from English methods, which has been no bad thing. If he was regularly playing in this country, people would probably rate him.
