Sorry.
Is Matt short for Matthias?
Looks like I got Gehan's birthplace wrong!
No it isnt. Its short for Matteus, as in the beer stuff from Portugal.
Sorry.

How about Paul Parker?
How could Goodwin be omitted?
BTW, Matt is short for Matthew, not Matthias or Matteus
Well I go to Withyham. You live and learn dont you?

I'd have Greig in for Yasir
Would also consider giving Diva a place simply on his spirit
Mudhsuden Singh PanesarI suspect Monty of the Panesar also has a another name.
Johnny Barclay was an under-rated player I reckon. He was a regular in the side for 15 years before his injury.
He was also the best captain I've seen at Sussex: handled the players really well and had a keen cricket brain. He's one of those people who really shone as a captain.
GM was born in Columbo but went to school in Hove.

How about Vasburt Drakes?
Heart ruling head I think Gwylan. Next thing you will be wheeling in Mark Faber and Austin Parsons!
Any team that doesn't contain Ranjitsinhji cannot really be taken seriously. The bloke had a first class batting average of 56 - and this at a time when wickets were like bombsites and 30 was a decent average. He'd be a good candidate for an all-time world XI and certainly should be the first name on any Sussex team.
How about the flip of this, a side of players who were born in Sussex?
John Langridge
Joe Vine
Alan Wells
Tommy Cook
Jim Parks Sr
Jim Parks Jr
Alan Oakman
Charlie Oakes

Not that good in comp was he..
Alan Green, Les Lenham?
