I was thinking it would be good to add a longer drawn out intro, perhaps something as simple as a deep heart beat that starts really slow about 10 minutes before KO. As it speeds up people will be alerted from the concourses and the excitement and atmosphere will build up.
Or start with the song Requiem for a dream http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYC3as3rwLk&feature=related and have it cut out like when a needle skips off a vinyl and the original gosbts starts?
In my head it sounds great but in reality it might be a bit shit.

Can anybody suggest how to find out if Christ Hospital Band has recorded it. Sadly the Haywards Heath Silver Band is no longer in operation.

Haven't a clue whether they have or haven't...surely it isn't beyond the realms of possibility that we could pursuade them to do so!

You are suggesting a modern version with a new beat etc so I would suggest it wont sound like the same tune and will not be 'ours'.

Good debate people. It really was only a thought, but to be honest, i thought it sounded a bit dated at the goldstone. I think Falmer is a good time to re-do it, thats all, i think it should be thumped up a bit, but even just re-recording it will be good for falmer.

Actually you know I think this might be an idea from occasional use prior to the teams coming out the build up song a bit like Carnival de Paris.
They do similar for the Sussex Twenty 20 radio advert and it sounds good.

That was my original suggestion bensgrandad, but why is re-recording it but with just better audio equipment so at least it is just a bit more louder when piping out at falmer, the alternatve suggestion
Right here we have it...........Traditional brass band for the players to run out to and then a jazzed up phunky punky spunky electronca, garage hip-hop trance-funk remixed Fat boy slim's rousing version at the end of another sucessfull 3 point haul............or summit like that eh?

That is the whole point a lot of people do not associate the modern version after the succesful games with us. So would they a new upbeat version for the players to come out I would say No.
