That 'two pencils' option is the product of a sick mind! I've still voted for it though for the comedy value, at least people will laugh at the newspaper report.

I have gone for overdose, but personally I doubt if I would commit suicide because I am a coward. Couldn't slash my wrists as not keen on blood, drowning is out as I would panic and save myself, shoot myself I would miss, jump in front of the train and they would probably cancel it, and don't fancy any of the alternatives, especially not the pencils up the nose. I am surprised someone hasn't written one of those self help books i.e. "100 best ways to commit suicide" or "How to commit suicide in 10 hours"

That is why the train option may be the only one.

nothing to do with suicide...just an unfortunate occurance..
a few years ago there was a story which made the news about this female parachutist who made a jump over an airfield. Sadly for her, she got blown off course and straight onto the rotating blades of a helicopter! what a way to go.....

Wasn't she a parasailer/paraglider or whatever? I'm sure she was pretty experienced but got caught by the wind and taken to her fate.

Tall building for me. Although I'd feel a bit guilty about the people who'd have to clean up after me, the guilt would be pretty short lived and it'd be quite a buzz to be flying through the air for those few seconds - and there's no way to suddenly change your mind halfway.

I think to take an overdose you would have to look into exactly how much you would need to kill you.

You do a very, very bad thing by trying to convince people that suicide is not an option.

Suicide should be legalized, it should be recognized to everybody the right to choose the moment of one's death.

Everybody should decide for his/her own death. That's all.

More specifically, I think the law should forbid forced confinement to mental-health institutions of persons who don't represent a danger to the society (I mean first of all suicidals).

I am not depressed nor suicidal, but if I was, if someone told me he/she was suicidal, all I would do would be to inform them about the methods, chances and statistics.





A man is believed to have beheaded himself using a home-made guillotine attached to an electrical timing device.
Northumbria Police said the body of Boyd Taylor, 36, was found by his father at the home the pair shared in Milbourne, Northumberland.

Detectives believe Mr Taylor may have built a timer to activate the device which killed him in the early hours of Monday morning.

It is believed he had built a mechanism to set it off at 0330 GMT.

How on earth could he sleep? And what if he had moved in his sleep? It may have just chopped his arm off!
