Excellent Marc.

My favourite is the Subway melt (turkey, ham and bacon)with all the salad, on honey oat bread.

I think they should put one in Hurstpierpoint for my stagger home from the bus stop after getting the night bus back from Brighton. Is there enough of a market for that? Sometimes as many as 4 people get off at Hurstpierpoint

Is there no-one else who sees the astronomical irony in that question?

Or am I being dim?

being DIM! Subway has very healthy options not just "burger like crap" :)

Definitely being dim. Turkey Ham etc with salad in a baguette isn't the same as a fatty burger.

Isn't TLO more highlightiing the cultural content of the Sealife Centre than referencing the nutrional content of a sub?

There is more sugar in Subway bread than any other bread on the market today. Fact. Although I'm more worried that TK Maxx might have closed down!!!

i thought subways had LOADS of fat in them.

almost as bad for you as burgers i thought......

Yup, and they pump out that sickly sweet bread smell onto the street and the masses come running like the pied piper for their 'healthy' fast food fix. You're better off nutritionally in MacDeath than Subway.

Sugar can be burned off easily.

I love the Subway fillings - but there's definitely something 'off' about the bread. No matter what kind you go for, it all tastes a bit, well, a bit tastelessly NON-BREAD. Would be a grand improvement if you could bring your own decent bread and just order the fillings IMHO.
