When I was there and heard about it I slapped a Union Jack on my door, it stayed there all year. No one complained, no one acused me of racism. In fact the foreign devils on my block put their own flags up cos they thought it was cool and would help friends find them easier.

Sounds like a draconion ban!

Being white does not excuse you of making racist remarks about whites or any colour. No more than it excuses blacks that call each other ******.

It just leads to more questions, like why the f*** would you do it?

Just simply because he is white and he is a bastard. So, it is correct. A statement of fact. No offence meant. It is what he is.

So remind me again, where exactly are St. Georges flags and poppies banned ?

Thats what you asked and thats what I responded to. It must really terrify lefties when rather than getting a response of "I read in the daily Mail" they get burried in personal anacdotes.

so what exactly where you refering to?

I'm referring to the general myth that St. Georges Flag and Poppies are banned.

You cited an example where there is a blanket ban on flags which is a completely different scenario.

I can sort of understand a ban on flags at Universities where you get some very silly people trying to make a point which they completely forget when they get their first job in a bank :lolol:

Stop moving the goal posts.Doesn't take 2 secs to search google for a load of answers. Here's one for you to get your claws into.
This is a perfect example as it mentions the flag could cause racism. What a load of crap.

Black fammilies in the UK have the highest proportion of single parents/absent fathers. Is it OK to refer to them as generally being black bastards just because it is statisticly accurate?

There is no guaranteed correlation between race and paternity, QED IT IS racist. Wether aimed at a group or individual.

I'm not - you could mention any sort of isolated incidents and glean many examples from google. It's called in the internet.

I was responding to "we can't do this...." etc.. I never suggested there weren't any, just pointing out they are isolated silly little incidents

.. and always very very silly.

If you think newspaper stories like that are indication of the general situation, you clearly misunderstand the modern media.

As the article says, the Emirates Stadium has a ban on all international flags during club matches, and that this banning of international flags is lifted for international matches. No need to dress it up as some Union Flag-bashing exercise. It applies to all flags.

Oh, I am confused. I shall try and be more PC and simply call him a racist scumbag, or is that offensive to scumbags?!

To you that may seem even handed but to most its a judgement of soloman.

You dont ban your own flags in your own country, are we a special case? Yes its OUR country. Are we priveleged? Yes its our country. Is this fair to foreigners who would want to wave their flags? Well yes because they can go back to their own country to wave theirs and we if visiting would have to respect their laws.

Your argument hinges on the assumption that we are nothing special, I would say we are in our own country.

Absolutely outrageous. This country makes me sick sometimes. Time to go back to old fashioned English values I think.

Worthing
Staff at Morisons in Worthing were told that they were not to wear poppies yesterday and it was only when The Argus rang up today to enquire as to whether it was true or not that the decision was reversed and they said that the Personal Manager had mis-interpreted the email sent out from head office. I dont doubt for one minute that thats the truth but thats how these stories start out, one idiot starts the ball rolling.

The war happened a long time ago now. There is hardly anyone alive who even fought in it anymore. Some people need to get over the two world wars as though it is some sort of trophy. The "we won the war" stuff is just a scam the history books tell you. No one won the war. We all lost.

But the poppy isn't just about WW2. Five British soldiers were killed yesterday in Afghanistan and maybe the RBL will help support their families.
