If it helps David I see your point. Where is the best deal for GH and which version should I get?

The price for a game and controller is £40odd

I would get GH1 first, then GH 2.

we bought GH1 with a controller and GH2 with a controller so we have two "guitars". GH2 has dual play so you can play "lead" or "Bass" or "Rythm"

But do you see my point about " instant gratification".
I'm sorry matey, but I'm not sure I do.

Because, to start me off, a mate of mine showed me the chords of A, D and E at a party (yes, he had previously been acting soppy and not at all unlike that bit when John Belushi smashes the guitar in Animal House. But we weren't in togas.). I twanged away practicing a bit and, no more than five minutes later, some young lass literally walked by and said, "oh, you can play the guitar? cool", or words to that effect. Now THAT is instant gratification...

Erm, it's "fascist"

Er....:lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

No, I think it's "facist" because Dave leaves laughing faces in his signature.

If he were a "fascist" he'd leave laughing faeces. Or something like that.

fair enough

although as I have been married for 25 years this year that doesnt really affect me any more...:)

One of the things I have always been desparate to do is accompany myself singing on the piano. I would love to give this a go the problem is time! TedeBear offered to teach me , but I just struggle to find the time.

This book is very good - for £10.50 for two books is a steal:

being a duffer when it comes to these things, can you use that for an electronic keyboard
Yeah, definitely - apart from some of the pedal/sustain things, it's absolutely fine.

Of course, what this means is that you annoy the crap out of anyone who has a REAL piano, so when you visit them you bug them to "have a go". :lolol:

that is no problem....my mate plays keyboard for a couple of Jazz bands and Skatoons. I have sung once or twice with him and he has three keyboards in total so I could pester him!!!

Aye, true (well, can't vouch for a)...) - I'm such a mug punter when it comes to things like that. :(
