I'm sorry matey, but I'm not sure I do.Dave the Gaffer said:But do you see my point about " instant gratification".

Because, to start me off, a mate of mine showed me the chords of A, D and E at a party (yes, he had previously been acting soppy and not at all unlike that bit when John Belushi smashes the guitar in Animal House. But we weren't in togas.). I twanged away practicing a bit and, no more than five minutes later, some young lass literally walked by and said, "oh, you can play the guitar? cool", or words to that effect. Now THAT is instant gratification...

Trufflehound said:No, I think it's "facist" because Dave leaves laughing faces in his signature.
If he were a "fascist" he's leave laughing faeces. Or something like that.

One of the things I have always been desparate to do is accompany myself singing on the piano. I would love to give this a go the problem is time! TedeBear offered to teach me , but I just struggle to find the time.

Yeah, definitely - apart from some of the pedal/sustain things, it's absolutely fine.Dave the Gaffer said:being a duffer when it comes to these things, can you use that for an electronic keyboard

Of course, what this means is that you annoy the crap out of anyone who has a REAL piano, so when you visit them you bug them to "have a go".
